The J Spot
A very flavourful burger and chicken sandwich. Also shown is the kids burger. The truffle wedges were also quite tasty. I loved how they melted the cheese to get it all crispy. You can tell this is a well crafted and thoughtful sandwich, good bun, good sauces that all compliment each other and don’t overpower any one item. Plus you can taste the meat which is a bonus. Definitely recommend this Spot!

Ordered 2 J-crunch tacos and a beef bulgogi and chicken bao bun. Taste was good but was very pricey for what you get. They don’t come with sides or anything. All separate.

If you go to the Avenida Food Hall and you haven't hit up J Spot yet, you are HARDCORE MISSING OUT.First of all, the Mochiko chicken sandwich is the BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH IN CALGARY. It is an instant best day ever after having that sandwich. They have fully claimed my boyfriend's soul, he finds it difficult to order anything else from anyone else. I suspect he may be planning to propose to the chef's soon.BUT THESE TACOS YALL. I had myself the beautiful soft shell trio and DAMN. That beef bulgolgi tacos has won awards for a REASON. All 3 were spectacular, but It will be difficult to not order 3 bulgolgi tacos everytime from here on out.Sorry to all the other places in Avenida that I love but-GIVE J-SPOT YOUR MONEY ALREADY

Got The J Spot burger and added avocado was amazing best burger I’ve had in Calgary. I’m one picky son of a gun, so to tell you that I enjoyed it and tasted every delicious topping the homemade ketchup is a hit. The fries had a hint of garlic which made me want to finish every bite. Highly recommended for burger lovers and fries checking out their tacos next visit.

One of the most unique burgers, you will never eat. Juicy, crispy, tender and flavorful. Love their french fries with a twist truffle oil.

I've had food from all across north America and I honestly think this is one of the best burgers Ive ever had. The truffle ketchup is to die for. The flavors are amazing, you can tell the chef has put his heart into this food. Truly a special culinary experience!

Absolutely amazing burgers here and the fries are on a whole other level. The only issue, and it turned out not to even be an issue but a revelation, was when I asked for 'no pickles' but they put pickles on the burger. Turns out they are home made pickles and more like marinated cucumbers than actual pickles and they were TASTY! Oh and did I mention the burgers have a cheese skirt"?Now for the fries. I believe they are triple fried or something. Whatever the exact details are

Yummmm. Their tacos are amazing. My favourite are the crunch wrap beef bulgogi ones. The kfc chicken, pork, and beef bulgogi soft tacos are all delicious as well.I have also ordered the fries that come with chicken and other toppings - it is a massive order.Great value.Such a great local place. Tacos are Asian fusion.

Ok people let me say this…I like my burgers…if I’ve never been to a place before I’ll try the burger to see if I’m coming back. I read the reviews of this place and other then a few obvious absurd comments(Kevin’s and Karen’s lol). This place is as legendary as most of the reviews implied. I ordered “the J spot burger” instantly top 3 in Calgary for me zero complaints not sure how you can do better…and the fries…where to start?..24hrs to complete(might be wrong) but fried 3 times to get a perfect crisp…never seen such perfection in crispness when It comes to this style of cut. Joel is a Genius. Came back today (first time yesterday) and fed my 14yo boi…he had the “classic” burger and loved it…and agreed the cheese skirt is savage lol!!!

I've been eating here before Joel started up The J Spot and what a change. He's added some incredible, creative, appealing, and delicious choices. I've never had an item on the menu I've disliked. The burgers are absolutely delicious and unique compared to other burgers here.My personal favorites are the Mochiko Sandwhich, The J Spot burger and the Korean Frier Chicken Tacos.Joel puts a lot of care into what he delivers, he's always busy and there's a reason for it. My top item and what I recommend the most is the Eggs Bennies. I wasn't a fan of egg bennies till I tried his and it's out of this world. I've showed my friends this and they come weekly just for the eggs bennies.I've eaten at most of the restaurants at Avenida and his by far is my number 1 favorite place here.
