Radley Park
Muddy campsites with no services and very close to other sites. No access to the river. Sites surrounded with bushes filled with poisonous berries. Not recommended for children under 5.

We loved this campground, were able to fit 2 trucks and trailers on one site. They worked to keep the bathrooms & showers clean, emptied the garbage regularly and was a clean area. The only problem is you can’t reserve. That would make it a 5/5

Very good place to stay with the kids. For the whole weekend it cost about $57 with electricity . The staff was very understanding and very nice as check out was at 11 am and we didn't leave till 1 PM. Washrooms were always clean. $1 dollar for a 5 minute shower. Easy to move around in there with a rv or travel trailer. Can get fresh water and sanitation dump there. Quiet time is at 10pm .they have a fire pit in every camp site and lots of room. Really enjoyed our stay there with our soccer team as we were able to stay together. River is right beside the camp ground. So you can do some fishing.

nice little campsite, it's got options for electrical hookups or not but it's nice for not being too far out of town. i just wish there were a couple more showers personally

Great place to camp, but We had to ask to get the garage removed from the fire pit and site. And as we were there others left and the garage wasn't cleaned up by the people or by the staff. This is a problem. Especially when there are bears in the area.

Beautiful place for camping, fishing, or just for the day. Right beside kitimat river.Update: new expansion to Radley Park. Unfortunately, whomever designed the new expanded area of campsites obviously doesn't know how to build a campsite. #1 issue: power. 120v 20amp, a 30amp and a 50amp option is at the pole. However not one of them is an RV outlet. Be prepared to bring either an adapter to use the 120v 20amp house style plug, or you will need a NEMA L5-30P to TT-30R Female for the 30amp service. #2 issue: location of the power service. It's at the front of the site. So you are either parking your trailer close to the road or you will need an extension cord. #3 issue: (site 46,47) is not even level for a newly developed pad. 4 off on each side of the double site. The good: quite a few newly added sites. Some are reservation only and some are first come first serve. Wood is no longer free but is only $5 per night which is very reasonable. The new sites are spacious and the area is wide open. Good for camping with multiple parties. And the price for a powered site is$28/ night."

We are on an extended holiday which has allowed us to travel the length of our beautiful BC and the amazing Yukon Territory. We are now on the home stretch having a reservation from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy on October 13th. We saved the last two weeks of our trip to explore the Smithers, Burns Lake, Terrace, Kitimat and Prince Rupert areas in our truck and camper. We have been so disappointed in this segment, not for great scenery and lovely people but for the lack of information about the availability of BC Provincial Campsites, Municipal Campsites and other public spaces. We have taken several kilometer trips out of our way only to find the entrance barred on many campsites. There is no information regarding these closures on any of the websites or in any of the lovely glossy info magazines available at the info places. Even the people in the Information Centres are uninformed about closures. The signs on the highway give no indication that they are closed. As a tax paying citizen I would love to see this corrected. Please give this some thought over the winter and at least give tentative closing dates instead of leaving it to the visitors to discover that there is no accommodation for RV's in these out of the way locations. We are not alone with this experience, we meet people on the move everyday with the same complaint. Good luck fixing this problem with the system. We need to keep the economy functioning so why not extend the season and advertise it well so that we travellers can better plan our adventures and enjoy these treasures? Thanks.

Horrible experience! I drove all night from Prince George to Kitimat. We were told by park staff that the campsite we chose was okay. We spent the whole day setting up the campsite and decided not to fo fishing so we could set up tent, gazebo, sleeping cots, kitchen, stove, water, everything only to be told at dinner time that the site had been booked online. We were told that they had nothing else so they offered us to stay in the park next to the children's swings and bathroom. Drove back to PG with my family after finding absolutely nothing available in the entire town. Thanks for such a great experience. The online reservation system was not advertised as required. No first come system any longer. This would have been the 7th year straight for our family but ended up being probably the last.

Great campground. Lots of privacy between sites. Free firewood included. (Only gripe is a first world problem... no wifi with mediocre at best cell service.) Edit: Cell service was much better this year for Rogers, reliable 3G in all of Kitimat including Radley Park.Re-edit: there seems to be reliable 5G in the park now. Much nicer.
