Meadowlands Golf Club At Sylvan Lake

The hot dry summer is beginning to take it's toll on the course, fairways are dry and the greens are seeing the worse of the dry weather.

If you want to break your elbow and shoulders golfing here, this is the place to go. Their grass is completely dried out and rock-hard, tee-boxes are full of holes and their overall course management is non-existent. It will be harder to find a solid patch of green than yellow here! Hot summer days may be a valid excuse when all other golf courses nearby had the same problem.

Right off the main highway this golf course is starting to mature and offers some challenging holes. There is also a driving range offering $7 large buckets.

Management does a great job keeping the campground and facilities clean. This is a quiet location perfect for family enjoyment.

Nice track. Have very friendly staff and price is reasonable. Got some blind holes and course needs more signage for direction of tees. Greens and fairways are well kept. Greens are slightly domed but not terrible. Looking forward to coming back.

Not the best but easy access public golf course. Straight flat not too intimidating but small raised up green make approach shot tough. Overall it's okay not a great golf course.

Great deal! Unfortunately got pushed from behind by a single on a hot busy day! Nothing we could do, as we were waiting for people in front of us… found out he was a member. Last hole the Marshal drove up to us where as the single drove up behind us… they knew each other and began to talk no farther than 20 feet in their normal voices. I was trying to tee up and they continued to talk… I began my routine and still they were talking… so I stopped and looked at them as the still continued to chat! No respect from the marshal or the member of the course! May 4th, whomever was the marshal at the time.Ps The member hit into us thee entire back 9, trying to push us.

I hate to give a bad review to this course since we have been going there for over 10 years now but this was our first time today and I was shocked to see the condition of the course, also with $62 green fees rate increase. Fairways are so dry, brown and hard , greens can use some maintenance so overall it is the worst kept golf course we have played around Red Deer and Sylvan lake area so far this year. Also, we got there early and they started us in the back nine but when we finished and headed to hole # 1 after, we found out that they switched the tee start to the front nine so everything was so backed and we ended up playing the second half-nine hole way much longer. Also the lady in the clubhouse who claimed to be the manager was terrible dealing with the issue when I asked why they switched the tee box start after they started us #10 earlier. It was sad to see this golf course turned out to be this way. Please consider going somewhere else if you are expecting to play a good round of golf.

Always such a good time! Staff was lovely as always. Course is great! Can't wait to get back out on the course!!
