The owner of the place is such an awesome, friendly dude! I enjoyed our chat when I came in on a wet, cold day in the middle of the afternoon.Although the cheesesteaks are the highlight here, I fully recommend the pizza fries. They're like an umami bomb with the explosion of cheese and sauce! I couldn't stop eating them.The cheesesteak itself is HUGE! I got the mushroom jawn and I definitely feel like I got my money's worth with how much meat and mushrooms got stuffed inside.Note that the food is made to order so there might be a long wait, but I promise you it's worth it.

Literally my favorite place in the city. Great local shop, AMAZING sandwiches and INSANE fries. The best seasoning I ever had. And the price is right! I cannot recommend it enough. We got the philly cheese steak and fries. Really really awesome. Turned some of my somewhat vegan friends into carnivores for a night and they loved it!!

Ate here on our 1st night in Toronto. The Philly cheesesteak was so good (add mayo if you like it more saucy) and the fries were the best fries we had the whole trip. Highly recommend this place for the fries alone (crispy with good seasoning).The man that was cooking, I think he was the owner, was super friendly. We were sitting at the table outside and he came out for a break and chatted with us for a bit.We had a great overall experience here and would be a place I'd go back to.

Germaine is a master of his craft, cooking up the best Philly cheese steaks in Toronto, and probably Ontario. Each sandwich is meticulously constructed from high quality ingredients and this is reflected in the taste. He makes his own barbecue sauce and hot sauce too which is a big bonus. Flavour is immaculate and the ratio of meat on the sandwich is worth it given the hefty price (13 for a regular cheese steak).

It's essentially impossible to find an authentic Philly Cheesesteak in Toronto but this is definitely the closest!Portions are huge, reasonably priced and they use quality ingredients. Steak, cheese (provolone or wiz, the latter they don't have though), onions, and maybe peppers. I wanted to keep it as authentic as possible and the sandwich was overall pretty good - my 2 small complaints was it was a little dry (only had BBQ sauce added which was recommended) and the seasoning was really heavy and while it tastes good, it was just too overpowering so the flavour of the steak and bread was drowned out and each bite was essentially a punch of seasoning.That said, I chalk it up to my first time ordering and not picking the right sauces and maybe ask them for half the amount of seasoning.There's also a huge selection of other non-cheeseteak sandwiches along with fries which all sound delicious.Will definitely be back to try much more of their menu.

This cheese steak is phenomenal, big portion, and huge taste. The man behind the counter is a hunger killing chef, you come in hungry for a good sandwich and he cooks you up an absolutely killer sandwich. The various menu options have me dreaming of coming back.

Best philly cheesesteak in Toronto. Fries here are awesome too. The restaurant is run by husband (chef) and wife - they are both friendly and down to earth. Depending on when you go, the wait can be long (there’s only one chef) so avoid the lunch/dinner rush if you can. The wait is still worth it though. Illstyl3 Sammies has quickly become of my favourite spots to grab lunch downtown.

Day 1: WOW!Unpretentious gem hidden in plain sight. Tasty, well-priced portions and many more interesting choices than just Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches with all kinds of quality ingredients. Will be camping out here until I've tried them all.Day 2: A bigger sandwich with even more meat. Just as good as Day 1, possibly even better

This spot is a hidden gem in the GTA. Hands down the best cheesesteaks in Ontario. If you're hoping to get welcomed with a big hug, then you might be better off going to Starbucks or something. Definitely not for the sensitive and that's what sets up the full experience here. Chef means business, which is cooking up masterpieces on the grill. He takes his time and always hits. If it's not the classic cheesesteak, I go with the Paulie which is chicken and beef but his menu and his hidden menu are definitely something you won't regret trying. Everything is a banger there. Down to the crispy illstyle fries that are seasoned up to perfection with the homemade aoli and hotsauce.I put a gaurantee on everyone I bring here and noone has ever been let down. Just don't go in there asking for a Philly" cheesesteak unless you want some reactions lol. #cowboysnation"
