Desiree and her Senior Building designer, Sian are very professional. They have very good ideas on design. They do their research on the local building codes and were very willing to exchange ideas with our building contractor. When changes needed to be made in our house design they were very flexible and accommodated any of my ideas without hesitation. I highly recommend Modlux.

We had the pleasure of working with Desiree/Modlux Interiors designing plans for our home renovation. She took on our project with knowledge and great enthusiasm to design our plans. From measuring out our existing space, to working thru our MANY ideas we had a great experience. Desiree took the time to ensure we were all on the same page. She lined up contractors for us to speak with and even let us use the flex space in her office to set up meetings. Home Reno Project – Comox, BC (2018 – 2019)Our General Contractor (Project Manager Craig) introduced us to Desiree at the initial phase of our home Reno project, we met with Desiree & find her friendly, good listener and communicator, very focus on client’s needs.After the initial meeting, we decided to have her as our project designer, she was easy to work with, based on our face to face meetings, Desiree came up with various proposed floor plans for our project. Every steps of the way, Desiree will review the proposed floor plans with our Project Manager Craig to ensure it can be done from a structural point of view as well the impact on our budget (if any); we found these extremely useful & eliminated potential problems later on.In our case, with Desiree’s final floor plan, the project started on time & completed on time with a small budget overrun mainly due to choice of materials as well as minors changes during the construction period, the changes were the resulted of “personal choices” nothing to do with Desiree’s floor plan. Like most home Reno project, you will run into situation that resulted in a bit more cost due to personal desire but at the end, the finished product looks so much better.We have no issue recommending Desiree to friends, in fact, we recent did just that.Tony Wong - May 2023
