Massage Addict

I have been going to Massage Addict Whitby for over a year now. I was pleased with their services until today. Had a terrible experience this evening with one of the massage therapists -John. He used a lot of pressure and I kept telling him to go soft/easy as the pressure was causing a lot of pain. I reiterated at least 10-12 times but it fell on deaf ears. As soon as I completed my massage I informed the receptionist that I would like to go with another massage therapist for my next appointment and cancelled all my future appointments with John. I was surprised that the receptionist was so callous in her approach and kept saying that John is famous for his deep tissue massages! My complaint should have been taken seriously. When I came home I had my thighs & back all bruised and sore with pain. I thought my massage would have been relaxing with a professional masseur but this wasn’t the case..Terrible experience!

Therapists are great at the Whitby. Many to choose from. They listen to your issues, work on those key areas and sometimes give advice for stretches you can do at home. Owner treats their staff excellent. Be aware though, booking fills up very fast so if you need special times like evenings or weekends, make sure you book at least a month ahead to find a spot.

I usually love Massage Addict and I've been to 3 other locations but this one was not very good. The front office girl was very curt and did not make me feel welcome, as other locations usually do. The massage therapist I had was a nice guy, but did not listen to me very well, not sure if there was a bit of a language barrier or not. He actually caused me more pain than I went in with. I was on vacation from Calgary when I was there and not that I'm back home I have to make a make-up appointment at my own location to fix what he did. It's very unfortunate.

I was able to make a same say booking for a massage on their website and I got a first time reduced rate. They also offer a membership, you can get 1 massage a month for a set price. It would be pretty worth it, especially if you have coverage to help pay for it. I am thankful for the awesome job Liam did! I walked out feeling great.

Went in explained my pain signed a waiver asked for more pressure and I walked out not even feeling like I had a massage. This is not the experience I had hoped for. It's very hard for me to get out and book massages so, all in all I will not be coming back. I would say that the therapist was really nice and same with front desk, but for $100 I feel like I just threw it away.

The front desk woman, is wonderful. Cheerful and good conversation. The atmosphere and rooms and cleanliness are also great. However my massage was mediocre at best. I didn’t have the heart to tell the guy in the moment so I just said thanks and left. But honestly, I feel like I wasted my money. I went in with complaints of severe neck pain and lower back pain, and it’s like he just didn’t listen at all. He mostly focused on my mid back. My neck was ever so slightly rubbed for 5 minutes. And he focused on one side only, and right when our hour was up he just stopped, didn’t matter that he didn’t get the other side. My lower back wasn’t even touched at all. He mostly just did pressure points in my shoulder blades. I was hoping to pamper myself since I work so much and I just feel like I wasted my time and money. I won’t be returning.

Been a client for about 4 years. Massage Therapist Yakesan is amazing, he knows his stuff, tell him once and he's got it packed down. He remembers. He is professional and courteous. A shout out goes to Amanda too. Just like Yakesan she knows her stuff.Till the time you walk in till the time you walk out, nothing but professionalism. Shout out also goes to all the Receptionist: Sydney, Nicole, Elizabeth and Lindsey. All super nice, professional and address you by your name. As a client I like that, you don't feel like a number. They all are very welcoming. I will definitely recommend Massage Addict (Kendalwood Plaza) to all my friends and family. Two thumbs-up and keep up the great work. Thank you! Massage Addict.

I’ve had to see about 5 different massage therapists numerous times in the last year due to chronic pain from a bad mattress. Steven managed to catch spots that were left missed or ignored since last September! He took great care to be respectful and courteous and help educate me on why I might be getting the pain and what I can do to lessen it in the future. I don’t plan on going to anyone else from now on and would recommend him to all who ask. Thanks so much!
