Krazy Bob's Music Emporium
My friends and I went to Langley this week, we’re from Prince George. And we’re like wowed by all the comic in the shops window so we decided to take a look but as soon as we step foot in the door this dude yells at us for being minors then calls my tattoos ugly. Definitely not a place I would recommend. This dude should be able to read peoples reactions and vibe with the people who enjoy the experience and leave alone the people who just want to take a look around.

Krazy bob dropped buncha words to me & cave man , I pondered it for a week and think I finally understood himSensory stimulations replace adventures , vanity and stoic indifference override wisdom ,humans were once condensed by moralities and arts , now that technology decomposes . Are disintegration , segregation and fragmentation of our entire race irreversible ? What about subjectivity and consciousness ? Science > technology > subjectivity > existence ?We are programmed to only know the here and now, but we weren’t taught how to be present . From my observation, science can only prove the hard facts that it can prove. There are some things that cannot be explained away by science. We are taught and told we only live one life. I have to negate that, linear time does not exist outside this realm on Earth . Linear time only exists in our linear reality . We live infinite lives, just one at a time. And some humans live more than just one lives in a lifetime . We are here to know through love and to be loved , to find happiness, help others, and evolve. So Krazy bob wanted me to think about the time I came into the world, and into conscious reality. Which is what this is right now.

Krazy bobs isn't just a music emporium, it's an experience! There's no where else on this planet where you can walk in and be treated like a movie star on a talk show, followed by being forced to make friends with every current customer in the store haha!!Bob is riddled with wisdom and I'm not sure it's possible to leave without a massive smile! He gives a free cd or movie to the chosen ones... Which is damn near everyone because bobs a lover not a hater.Just go here, experience bob, buy some records or movies, or just go have a chat that could change your life. Thank you Bob

Unfortunately I drive an hour to bring my 14 year old son, who was so excited to goAnd was turned away! As I had a closed package of candy I just purchased from the store beside him !I am all great for fun banter , we were told to put it in our car and come backLearn to read ! I would never disrespect a sign and eat in a store!Luckily there was another cool store to explore by where we parkedSuper inviting and helpful.

Been there a few times, try to get there when it firsts opens in the morning. Nice and quiet until the owner shows up. He is a Krazy Bob for sure. Couple of times I was ready to buy a few comics, but basically ignored at the cash register waiting for the song and dance show to end on some new customers that were just entering the store. Thats ok, I get it. Didn’t realize he was charging people $2 to come in. Its a strange concept. Every time I have gone he either complains that I brought a small flat bag in with me to put my purchases in or that I was in the way. Prices were high. One item I purchased was miss-priced, told me that someone tampered with the sticker. Ok, sure, but seemed to think it was me. Repriced it based on a price guide. Still bought it because even though he did raise the price a bit to suit his arrogance, it was a decent deal. Last time was the final straw. Went in with bag in hand when the store opened, nobody hosting the door, came in. Saw the bag in my hand and then chastised me for not checking in. I left, telling him that he is questioning my integrity and that I wont be back. He handles customers poorly, IMO. If you like this sort of thing, ok, but will no longer be a paying customer.

As soon as I entered the store, I was greeted with a charismatic, eccentric and bewildering introduction by Bob himself. He let myself and the person I had entered with choose a card, as if he was pulling some sort of magic trick before welcoming us to find our way through the store. With an introduction like that, how could we not give him the time of day and look through the vast collection of music before us?I must say, at first I found it a little difficult to navigate and attempt to find what I was looking for, but I soon came to realize that the store was set up this way in order to allow you to search through the music and maybe come across a hidden (and reasonably priced) gem. I can understand how this experience may not be for everyone, but genius is not always easily understood. If you're in a rush and can never take the time to stop and appreciate life, this may not be the place for you. But if it is, you'll most likely come out with a very positive and memorable experience thanks to Bob himself. Under his eccentric and comedic personality is someone who is very passionate and knowledgable about what they do. If he likes you, he may even throw in a gift and valuable life advice. You wont find an experience like this in any other music store in the lower mainland. It's a great place for a date as well, as long you aren't afraid that Bob may outshine your own personality.

If you want a bit of fun and joy in your day, stop by Krazy Bob's. If you are a negative person, in a hurry, can't take a joke, or don't enjoy a bit of humor, then please stay home. This is a place to spend some time, break into a smile, and enjoy some music. Yes, you have to wait to enter and sometimes to leave, but 5 minutes is a cheap price to pay for some joy and some wonderful company.Went in today and Bob was delightful as always. We learned the strut walk" and came away with some amazing records. The young fellow in the jazz section made some fantastic recommendations...Gerry Mulligan and Antonio Carlos Jobin are both spot on and will get a lot of play. Thank you!"

Lol, there are some VERY and I mean VERY accurate descriptions of what you might experience at Krazy Bob's written here. It may just be me, but it didn't really bother me. I can tune it out. If I had a choice, I wouldn't live through it, but I get" the shtick and can out Krazy the best of em. Just be equally loud and focus on what you are looking for. I can handle it

Bob makes you pay $2 to go in he’s working. I went in once with a different person who was cool and didn’t make me pay.Bobs rationale was that it keeps the lights on and the rent being paid. Here’s the thing. If your store is so low on money that you need to make customers PAY to come in, maybe rethink your business. It’s a bit sad to be honest, but hey, justinflation doesn’t discriminate. The stuff inside is nothing special as well as a bit overpriced. I wouldn’t go in again for free, let alone pay $2 to enter. There are much better record stores that aren’t this bush league. Go somewhere else if you value your time and money.
