After over a decade of loving care at the sister clinic (Meadowvale Animal Clinic) we moved our two cats to Glen Erin Animal Hospital in 2019 as we had moved much closer to this location. Transferring records and maintaining each kitty’s full history was easy due to the clinics’ affiliation.Almost as soon as we moved our older male encountered serious issues, and I truly believe he would not be here today if the staff at GEAH had not gone above and beyond to secure the right intervention for him, after hours, in the middle of COVID, and with a shortage of both staff and facilities. This was repeated the following year with a different health emergency. The tireless and patient work by everyone from desk to nurse to doctor, really helped to calm my fears and allowed me to make informed decisions on the care of our little monsters.I have never been upsold or pressured to buy any product or service that I felt unnecessary, and find the pricing very reasonable for those items we do needWe have now brought home a third kitten, and are glad to have a great team close by, who treat our pets like family, to help him grow with us.

Lovely experience here. I brought my senior hamster and everyone was so kind. From the booking (whoever emailed me with all of my inquiries was so nice) to the actual appointment it was a pleasurable experience all around.I originally had inquired about nail trimming but noticed an abscess on my hamster. They immediately helped me book the earliest slot available.Dr. Julie and her assistant (I believe his name was Cody, sorry if that's incorrect) listened to my concerns and were so so gentle with my hammy during his first examination. He's a pretty tame hamster but was so good even when they trimmed his nails. They explained the next steps to me well and made me feel confident that my hamster was in good hands. This is a good place to bring your smaller pets/exotics! Chimmy & I thank everyone here :)

I recently took my dog to Glen Erin Animal Hospital for an x-ray procedure, but unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired. I had specifically requested that they sedate my dog before the procedure which they also recommended , as he tends to get anxious in medical environments. However, they proceeded with the x-ray without providing any form of sedation or even attempting to make my dog more comfortable. As a result, the entire process was incredibly stressful for my dog. He was visibly scared and hesitant, making it difficult for the veterinary staff to handle him. I was disheartened to see him in distress throughout the procedure. It left me questioning the level of care and consideration provided by the hospital. Moreover, when my dog was discharged and we left the hospital, I noticed that he was having difficulty walking. I understand that he might experience some discomfort after an x-ray, but this was beyond what I expected. I had hoped for a clear explanation or guidance on how to handle his post-procedure discomfort, but unfortunately, none was provided.Communication also seemed to be a major issue during our visit. The staff appeared rushed and did not take the time to fully address my concerns or answer my questions. It left me feeling unheard and unsatisfied as a pet owner seeking reassurance for my dog's well-being.Overall, I'm deeply disappointed with the level of care and attention my dog received at Glen Erin Animal Hospital. The lack of sedation during the x-ray procedure, the subsequent discomfort my dog experienced, and the inadequate communication all contribute to my negative experience. I hope that the hospital takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving their practices to provide better care for their patients and more satisfactory experiences for pet owners. He then had to be admitted to Emergency Animal hospital as he was in so much pain that evening. Following days Glen Erin Animal Hospital gave me a call to follow up and I was told that the Doctor would call me for clarification why he was admitted. 3 week later still no call from them.

I have been taking my cats to this wonderful place for over a year. They are extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. Their equipment is top of the line and on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine. Dr. Boktar and the front ladies are extremely kind and compassionate. I really can’t say enough great things about them except please keep doing what you so do well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and paws.

I brought my bunny there since she was 2 years old. The team is amazing and gives great customer service. My bunny went into surgery with them earlier this year. From the testing to the surgery to the recovery, the team was patient with us and made sure she was in the best form!

I see some complaints related to the owner, but I really have none. She was always frank, honest and supportive. I know she cared. I do think there are areas the overall team could improve:- Better coordination between the different vets, as sometimes it appears that we would receive conflicting advice.- VetTechs should not drag dogs. Just because you have a mobility issue, don’t drag my ill pet towards you. This really upset me and I had to intervene.- When you are recommending testing, please explain why its required and try to group tests together per visit (minimize visits for ill pets and owners).- Don’t advise pet owners to dropping their pets in the freezer if they pass away. The whole situation is stressful as is and this is the last thing somebody wants to hear about their beloved family member. I appreciate the frankness, but we live in a big city and there are plenty of options.

I am writing this negative review to warn others about my terrible experience with Glen Erin Animal Hospital and Meadowvale Animal Clinic. If you care about your pets, please do not take them to this clinic. In my opinion, Dr. Jen Thompson is extremely money-driven, and her team is quite incompetent in animal care handling, especially for senior dogs. They suggested unnecessary tests and diagnostics, even when I had a complete and updated medical record from just two days before. However, to charge more money, they quickly recommended surgery for my senior dog, Sophie, even though other vets advised against it due to a low chance of survival. Thankfully, we did not go through with it, but unfortunately, it was still an extremely tough time for my family and me to cope. It took some time for me to gather my thoughts and write this review objectively. We brought Sophie to this clinic for a second opinion on September 22, 2022, and I am thankful that it was not her primary clinic but was utterly shocked by the treatment she received here. The clinic was greedy and impatient and provided false diagnoses to run tests and make more money. The level of aggression and stress Sophie experienced at this clinic was unbelievable. I must also mention that several dogs were barking and howling in the back, and it sounded like they were in pain.Sophie was never the same after this visit, and her health severely deteriorated. She was extremely stressed from the handling and treatment at this clinic that all signs of recovery that were present before her visit went away. Our beloved Sophie crossed the rainbow bridge a week later, on October 01, 2022, in peace, surrounded by her family.I am writing this review on behalf of Sophie to urge others to avoid this awful clinic. The kind of treatment she received was unbecoming and not what any pet owner should have to experience. Please take your pets elsewhere for their health and well-being.

Professional staff that are open the pet owner’s suggestions and go the extra mile ensuring the animals are treated both comfortably and safely. We’ve been going to this veterinary clinic for close to a decade now and will continue doing so. Highly recommended.
