The whole experience was more than we expected. The scenery is fantastic. The folks that own the lodge are down to earth people. The people that work there are so friendly and take care of your every need. If something is needed, ask and you get it. The food was incredible! All of our meals were absolutely delicious. We cannot say enough about the people and the place. You need to experience it for yourself. We will definitely be going back!!!! Thanks everyone.

It's a fishing lodge. Cabins are a little tighter than desired. Owners are gracious. Staff is helpful.

Thank you Harold and Ingrid for your hospitality. Our cottage was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Perfect for 4 people (#11). The French River is beautiful and peaceful. We rented a 22' pontoon which was so nice. Once you get out of the bay...it is very remote. Without GPS it is very easy to get lost. (We did..but ran into another group out fishing, right as it was getting dark, they loaned us a map to get back, thank you folks) Miles of islands and amazing scenery. Fishing was not great but we created some awesome memories. We will definitely be back.

Back in September 2022 my father, his friend and I attended wolsely lodge for 5 nights. We got the package with the boat rental and unlimited live bait.At first the sight and view was amazing and I felt I could just move in here. But then I noticed where our cabin was. It was up at the top and before judging let me get to where the catch is.There is two cabins up in the corner of the area about 40 feet up. You walk up a little bridge to cross over this little drop. However the structure of the cabins are dangerous for ANYONE. I was fishing on the docks one night and came up to show my catfish catch. Upon going back down I actually fell and sprained my ankle which was sore the next day. We were VERY lucky it wasn't my father or his friend considering their age. There is a slide drop just beyond the bushes (if you look in my photos) and if children were playing and slid it's not a fun tumble. The decks are also uneven in the steps and requires attention. Our outside light was also broken. The maintenance guy said it has been for years so that wasn't very pleasant and made it even more dangerous.Overall the fishing is outstanding. The value of everything is great and it's such a gorgeous experience and view. The one fellow I met their, Roger who I believe is in charge of the boathouse and live bait etc... super nice and chill guy. Very social and goes the extra mile for you.We will be returning in 2023 most likely but are going to be asking for a lower level cabin.

A great little lodge, Harold and Ingrid are very hospitable. The cabin was clean and the screened in porch was really nice to have. The boat worked great and all the dock staff were very friendly and helpful. The fishing could have been better, but that's obviously not something they can control. The beds were a little uncomfortable, but they served their purpose. The shower is tiny, but you can still get clean. It's better than not having one at all. Beautiful scenery and at night the sky is breathtaking.

We had a three bedroom cabin for a family of 5 with three teenagers from Toronto. The facilities are well maintained - clean and everything works. We all slept well each night and we woke to a beautiful view every morning. The property has a long waterfront good for all ages - beach, fishing off a dock, skipping stones. The host gave a wonderful boat tour of the French River in a large pontoon boat. The scenery was unbelievable and the water was pristine. We didn’t get a chance to go fishing but the Lodge has an impressive display of local catches. We will definitely visit Wolseley Lodge again. IMO, Wolseley Lodge offers more value than Muskoka with less cost.

Been going to Wolseley Lodge for over a decade now and have always enjoyed my stay. Cabins are rustic but have everything you could need and the service at the dock is always friendly and reliable. I make the trip each year to get away from the city and Wolseley Lodge is perfect. I couldn't imagine having my annual fishing trip anywhere else.

We stayed here for 5 days for a mini vacation and had an amazing time! We were very lucky as the sun was out all week and temperature was in the high 20s. The owners Harald and Ingrid are very welcoming, friendly and attentive - we had some nice conversations with Harald. The French river is huge with lots of spots to fish. The Five Finger Rapids is a must to hop of the boat and check it as there’s a hiking trail. Their American plan was worth it as the meals were big and delicious each night. Nights were quiet if you’re looking for a good nights rest with no disruptions. Cabins are very clean and cozy. Overall we had a relaxing and enjoyable time. We will definitely be returning next year! - Adam & Sheila

We have stayed in a Wolseley Lodge cabin three times so far and plan to return again. The cabins are a bit rustic, but well maintained and outfitted with what is needed. It was great that we were offered some good advice for fishing spots without even asking! The dock staff are friendly and helpful carrying our outboard tank up and down for the fill-up. This is a great spot to enjoy the amazing French River. We'll be back!
