Mr Kwik Fix

If you want rude and sloppy service then go to Mr. Kwik Fix. My $200 boots needed to be repaired and when I returned to pick them up (after calling in advance), only half of the job was done. When I pointed this out, I was told to come back the next day to pick them up. I returned at the end of the day to find my boots sitting in a pile at the back of the store and no one there to repair them. I waited for the owner, who was repairing them, to return and when he did he proceeded to yell at me for coming in without calling first. Ridiculously unprofessional and not necessary. I was told to come in and I did. I came in to find the job not done the previous day. Why do I deserve his angry and condescending attitude? In the end there was a dent in the toe of my boots that will not come out and the polish was not buffed off so it got all over my jeans. Horrible workmanship and a need for anger management courses!

So.. I bought a Canali belt that for some reason the shop I received it from would not size. I received a reccommendation to come here. This guy (the one in the leafs hat... I believe his name is Rob) is one of the biggest idiots in London. He tells me my $200 Italian leather belt is bad quality and I should be buying his belts(red flag! Should have walked out here). Then goes ahead and instead of sizing my belt which is literally just cutting the leather and reattaching the buckle decides it’s a better idea to poke three holes in the belt.. Thes holes were all the wrong size and not done with any care. Off center.. No attention to detail. Completely wasted my money on this now useless belt.

Rob went above and beyond to help us today... our key broke while at the market and he didn’t have the key in stock (older car) and we didn’t have a backup! Rob made a call to his brother over at the GM dealership and had the right keys cabbed over to the market and then cut them for us all within an hour! Amazing customer service and he goes above and beyond for his customers. A true jem! I highly highly recommend this shop and Robs work to everyone!

Amazing experience! Extremely polite & very professional, made sure my repair was done right. I reccomend Mr. Kwik fix to everyone I know! Rob does an outstanding job trying to keep everyone happy with their repairs while operating the business himself. People need to understand patience is required for quality & local work.

I took in a pair of winter boots for a zipper replacement in April. Rob told me that it would take a few weeks to repair. I went back to pick up the boots in June, and the zipper that was replaced was not only a different colour, but was barely attached to the boot, the stitching was already unraveling. I pointed this out and Rob said he would replace the zipper again to match the other boot, and that I could pick it up in a couple more weeks. I called, they still were not finished, finally went to pick them up in October, and although the zipper was replaced to match, there is a ridiculous amount of extra stitching holding the zipper in place, which is bulging, and completely unattached at the ankle. I have never seen such unprofessional work. This was expensive, ($60), very time consuming (6 months) and Rob's general attitude toward making this right was shameful. He would not take ownership for any of the problems with this repair. I would not recommend anyone give this hack any more business. For Shame!

Edit: the repair did not last. First day wearing the boots and the stitching on the patch came out. It cost $70 to fix them and no discount for taking 3 months. Brought them back to repair the repair 3 weeks ago (which he said he would do right away and free of charge) and they still aren't done... Do not recommend at all!!!Not at all kwik". He had my boots for 3 months and didn't even offer a discount for taking so long. The work on the boots is passable

It is not my favourite thing to write a bad review - but in this case I have to let people know that this is NOT the place to take your personal items to be repaired.Rob at Kwik Fix had my boots for a total of 9 weeks. I never received one phone call about my boots being worked on or finished - and I had to go in a total of 6 times to ask if they were completed yet. When I finally received my boots back, I wore them once and the zipper broke again.Not only was the craftsmanship very poor - when I challenged the store manager about the broken zipper he was less then sympathetic BUT I gave him a second chance to fix them. I returned 4 days later to pick up my boots he promised would be finished - and they were again not even touched since I dropped them off.I told the manager I was frustrated and tried to tell him that I have been very patient about the repair and that I was very unhappy with the service. He then proceeded to raise his voice and sneer at me in front of another customer.I paid 130.00 UP FRONT to get my boots repaired and now I have boots that are in worse condition then when I gave them to him in the first place.I did NOT get a refund.Please do not let this shop take advantage of customers any longer.

I took a pair of leather ankle boots and a leather purse to this place to have the zipper replaced on the purse and the sides resewn and polished on the boots. This guy told me he would buff everything out and asked when I wanted it. I said I would pick them back up in a week and prepaid $67. 8 days later I went back to pick up my items and he picks up my purse and says the other guy didn't finish it - could I come back in 15 mins? I came back in 30 mins and he hadn't replaced the zipper - he just stitched it two times, put a new zipper head on (not giving back the leather zipper pull and told me how the zipper really should be replaced. I said that's what I paid for! He apologized and said if he had more time he could fix and would send it to me (I live 30 mins away). I asked to see my boots to see the workmanship and the stitching will pass, but they aren't polished whatsoever and there is glue on them. I said I don't want to come back, I want a refund for my purse. He refused to give me a refund because I didn't have my receipt (debit receipt was at home), only had the store tag saying I paid. He said he needed a receipt in case he got audited. I took my items, said it was shitty work, and left.I drove back home, another 30 mins, drove back to get to the market before it closed, another 30 minutes, and the guy had closed and left for the day. So now, my purse is ruined, I wasted 2 hours of my time, gas mileage for 160 km, and am ripped off for $67. If I had read these reviews before dropping my items off I would never have gone. The guy is a scammer and conman. The market would be wise to get rid of this guy because I have no desire to return to this market (and I'm a vendor at the farmers' market). I have no doubt if I wasted my time and gas to drive back up there again tomorrow for a refund, he wouldn't give it to me. Sad :(

Poor service for my boot repair. The job wasn't done when I was told to return the next day. Came back a second time a week later and the job was half done. He told me to come back in 15 minutes and promised my boots would be ready. I returned in 15 and he was gone with a sign left stating he'd be back in 15. I waited and when he eventually returned simple stitching repair on my boots still hadn't been completed. No apologies or explanations for the delays.

Wow lol. VERY POOR WORKMANSHIP AND SERVICE!! I guess I should have done as usual and checked up on this guy before I used his service...Took my leather purse in here for turn locks to be put on replacing worn magnetic clasps. 3 MONTHS LATER I FINALLY GOT MY PURSE...Picked up once and had to bring back as had not restitched the leather he unstiched????. Also, replaced with snaps on one side rather than the turn locks I had paid for, so requested him to do as in instructed...I finally demanded money back and complained having lost patience. He didn't seem to care and didn't even bother to apologize?!?!?This guy behaved as an incompetent boob in this repair as well as actions and attitude toward me as a customer. How is he surviving?? I guess by people like me who didn't check the reviews first lol. Lesson learned...
