It's funny how people that have no real business sense or background have a voice on what should happen in our communities regarding housing. I am not pro-slumlord but I do want to believe the majority of landlords are good people that work hard and take on a lot of risk. I talked to someone from this office in the past and he couldn't understand the risk a landlord takes to house people. He felt anyone who is a landlord is taking advantage of people. Waste of time trying to convince him otherwise. Good thing they don't have a strong voice. But they still have a voice which is scary.

If you are a tenant facing a wrongful eviction; call a paralegal that is licensed to do so. ACORN has no authority at the LTB; they are not recognized by the LTB or the Law Society and can NOT practice law. Best contact REAL paralegals, like the Hamilton Community Legal ClinicMike Wood cant help you; other then with a picket sign

I had my doubts and wasn't sure about acorn but they helped me and went above and beyond with my landlord N13 notice and even got my whole building and myself legal fees and representation paid for no cost thanks all worked out
