Taverne Sur Le Square
A casual evening with suitable combinations of food pairings. The appetizer was a tad cooler, and the plate was cold. The taste was subtle, and the consistency was perfect. When the waiter did their quality control, I inquired about the intention of the temperature. Kindly express it was colder than I would have liked. The service was on point. The main course was fish, and I loved everything about it. When the bill arrived, they credited me the 32$ appetizer. Appreciate the kind professional gesture. Will return.

Prices have have gone up so much, the portions are tiny, the selection on the menu is small. They won't even bring you a piece of bread anymore (you have to buy the Focaccia!). We used to eat here quite often and loved it but were very disappointed with our last meal. Sadly now you feel like you are being taken advantage of, we won't be going back...

The food was amazing, we had the steak tartare and gnocchi with truffle, simply divine. The wines were also delicious, they have private importations, among the best wines I tasted in my life. The sommelier explained us the story of each wines, it was a unique experience! Really recommend this place and they have wine by the glace, perfect to taste different wines.

Gorgeous restaurant, nice ambiance and great service!! We all got the Rigatoni pasta and found the portion to be small and the pasta lacking in flavour. It was not bad but not the best pasta I’ve ever had, which is why I deducted a star. The cauliflower and Focaccia were however very good.

Best dinner I've had at restaurant in two plus yearsEvery person (the 3of us) insisted the other try our dish cause it was the best. I think the 5oz strip steak won. The dessert and starters were all supreme. The service was friendly and accommodating. Felt covid safe as well. $$$$ is the one thing to beware of

Food was delicious, servers were great. I do resent the payment system that now defaults to a starting point of 18% tip on top of tax. No more 15% option. I have always tipped 18%, now I feel cheap. And yes, I know you can put your own chosen dollar amount but realistically, who does that?

Pros: Before the pandemic, I was always happy with the food and service here.Now they are one of very few restaurants that has a covered terrace, so you can dine 'outside' even when the weather is not cooperating.Cons: This is based on my most recent meal. We went for a light meal before going to the cinema. While the service was attentive, the meal was nothing special, and the server was impatient with our questions. The cocktails were totally average. The salad and wings felt like they had been made from leftovers from other dishes. The burger was tasty, but when I asked if they could serve it with the relish on the side we were told there was 'absolutely no modifications' because they are 'not a burger joint'. I mean, I understand, but there were like 6 other tables in the place at the time (more than 1 waitstaff/table) and it's still a $32 burger that was clearly a take on a Big Mac. There was NO presentation whatsoever, just the item on the plate. So, 3 stars since I had had a few 4-5 star experiences here before, but this last one was max a 2. I will look harder next time for somewhere else with a covered terrace.

A great evening. Our first visit back since Covid. Starters of smoked haddock white bean dip with home made potato chips, and the crustini layered with capicola and buratta were delicious. Two of us had the steak with wine reduction which was so melt-in-your mouth it came across like tenderloin, not a NY strip. The lamb neck special with peas and rosemary was comfort food and satisfying. Lastly a plate of their rigatoni with pulpette was enjoyed thoroughly as the tomato sauce had that texture and flavour that only comes from slow cooking. As with everything else in 2022, prices are higher than I would have expected to pay a year or two ago... but this is now". The staff were polite
