One Small Step

Took my daughter in for her first shoes and the owner was spectacular. The environment is warm and whimsical and inviting for the kids. The shoes are great quality and have Canadian made options.and the owner is super knowledgeable and put my daughter at ease and made the whole process just amazing. 10/ 10 would recommend.

we received a gift card for my son‘s birthday for his first pair of shoes. We went to the store yesterday, the staff was very knowledgeable, the store was very neat and entertaining for our son (as in, they had a fish tank at ground level for the kids to look at, there was a big tree with hanging stuffed animals in it like monkeys, and a train that went around the top of the store) The gentleman working was very friendly, very knowledgeable, great with our son, and very helpful. We were in and out within less than 15 minutes and very satisfied with our purchase. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience here buying shoes for my 1.5 year old. Chris is so knowledgeable about how to fit children's shoes. My daughter had just received an orthotic to correct her step and he knew what to do with it and got her into a pair of well-fitting shoes that she was pretty excited about too! It was a great experience, we will definitely be returning!

I've been a customer for the better part of 10 years. Chris is always friendly, is great with kids (and sizing difficult children) and more importantly is honest. We have been buying running shoes, sandals and boots annually for all of our children. He has every season covered.Chris has always been great with pricing and always has a large selection to handle even the fussiest of children.I can't say enough good things about this place. The parking can be tricky, but it's well worth it once you get inside.Our special needs son loves the fish tank at the cash register and the Thomas the train that circulates the perimeter of the showroom. It really calms him and allows for an accurate sizing and fitting.6 stars out of 5 if I could. He is my go-to" guy

We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend One Small Step.Chris the owner was friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful in our quest for a proper fitting winter boot on a budget. Apparently winter boots need to be bigger than the show size… oops. Our toddler loved the pair so much, he wore them out of the store. So glad we went there instead of trying a style and size online.Love how there has been so much though put into the store decor for kids from the fun creatures to Thomas the train chugging along. It’s a really wonderful store!

Today was our first visit to the store. We were told by the Nurse and Physiotherapist that our girls needed supportive shoes, the difficulty is that they have tiny feet. The owner Chris was able to find shoes that fit perfect and provide alot of support. I'm so thankful we were told about this hidden gem of a store because I know we got a good quality shoe. Chris was so knowledgeable and offered alot of great information. He took the time to make sure the shoes fit our girls perfectly, he also gave us a tentative time frame on when to come back for the next shoe.

This is a small business owner who has been established in the area for many years now. We've been taking our 2 boys here since they were small. Now that they are in their teens and wearing men's sizes we are still pleased with the selection and service. I highly recommend this store and Chris for any and all footwear needs.
