Odyssey Montessori School

I have had two children enrolled in the Young Children’s Community (i.e. Toddler Room) in various years at Odyssey and we have had positive experiences both times. The teachers and staff are caring, communicate regularly through online communication systems and email, and put a great deal of focus on fostering a child’s independence. The school is neat and kept clean and we have never had concerns regarding the school’s adherence to COVID protocols. The intimate size of the school made us feel that we were a part of a family which is a difficult task to undertake especially during a global pandemic. Both of my children never dragged their feet to go to school. They would run to their teachers with open arms and huge smiles. We could tell they felt safe there. I highly recommend Odyssey Montessori School!

Two of my boys attended Odyssey and we all had an excellent experience. The admin was great, the classrooms are adorable and we LOVED our teacher (both kids had her back to back over 4 years). I would highly recommend Sorauren Odyssey for anyone looking for an educational daycare alternative.

All three of my children went to Odyssey and we loved it. I never felt anything but care, dedication and affection from the teachers and assistants. My children felt safe and cared for which made being a working mother much easier for me. They learned so much during their time there that when it was time to head to public school, they were ready for success.

Two of my children went to Odyssey for the half day program. It was their first introduction to childcare. Both the toddler and casa teachers welcomed the kids with open arms and made them feel so comfortable and safe. I appreciated the open and continuous communication with staff and teachers. The rooms were all so clean and organized. My kids learned so much in the two years they were there. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend!

We have nothing but positive praise for Odyssey Montessori School. We started our eldest child at the Souraren campus at in 2013 and we were very pleased with her development, the learning environment and quality of education received. We knew nothing about the Montessori method of teaching when we started. We toured a few childcare options in the area and chose Odyssey because we were so impressed with what we saw and the people we met during our first visit to tour the space. When it came time to enrol our second child, we registered them into the toddler program at 18 months without hesitation. The staff there are knowledgeable and have supported us and our children in their early years’ development.Their quick response and transition to online learning when the pandemic lockdowns took effect in March 2020 helped us to develop a routine with our child and in turn our whole family. We have utmost confidence in the cleanliness of the facility at Souraren, and the staff’s attention to safety protocols and care for the children. When it came time to enrol our child in September of 2020 we did so without hesitation.

We heard about Odyssey from some of my eldest daughters classmates. They had really enjoyed their years at the school. We decided to enrol our son at 2 1/2. He needed to learn some independence and Odyssey was great for that. The activities are set up in a way that gave him confidence and years later he is still clearing his dishes after dinner. I can see the social behaviours he learned are ingrained. He loved his time there. The curriculum kept him busy. The teachers are compassionate and caring. I grew to only trust Odyssey with my children so when my third was 2 1/2 we enrolled her. This is her third year at Odyssey. I couldn’t imagine her anywhere else. Everyday she learns something new and is excited to tell me about it. I would definitely recommend Odyssey.

My kids have been attending since 2016 and I couldn't be happier. The confidence and experiences they have received from Odyssey's amazing staff has been incredible. It's a fantastic school.

Odyssey's Sorauren Campus has been an extension of our home for our children over the past four years. All three of our children started in their Toddler Program at 18 months. Two of them are now in the Casa Program, one as a second year and the eldest as a graduate, with our littlest guy having just started in toddler a couple months ago. Their commitment to the Montessori Method and amazing staff have impressed us and given us so much confidence in a decision that weighed heavy on us - who do we trust to care for our babies and what environment will be the most nurturing? We constantly appreciate their clear communication, well thought out processes, and ability to adapt to fit the needs of their students and families. They have done a terrific job navigating the challenges around this pandemic. As reserved as we were about having our children return to school this September, it's turned out to be the best choice we could have made for them. The staff has truly been incredible and they have gone above and beyond Health Canada requirements in creating a safe environment for all that still feels normal to the children. We truly feel lucky to have found this little gem of a school in Roncesvalles and even though we moved out of the area recently, we’re happy to make the little trip each day to continue the wonderful relationships we have with their staff and the lovely community of families we’ve met there.

My son currently attends Odyssey Montessori school, he has been there since a toddler and is now in Casa. This school has been a blessing for his development over the last few years and we couldn’t be happier! You can tell the attention and care he gets from being there.We are also extremely happy with how the school has handled the pandemic both during lockdown and after. I feel safe sending my Son back to school here and he has progressed by leaps and bounds thanks to his teachers.Thank you Odyssey for everything and keep doing your thing!
