Probably close to the worst chinese food ever. .not fresh cooked but seemed like it was just warmed up. Soup had no flavor and big uncooked vegies, chow mein was dry and hard as was pork and shrimp looked large but almost all batter and quite greasy. Very disappointed. On the plus was take out order was ready within 10 min and could that be the reason the food was not fresh.

My partner, Sue and I stopped off at Henry's Kitchen, July 8th/18, for dinner. The place was crowded. The waitress met us at the door and explained, that the service is slow, due to another waitress could not make it that day. We decided to stay, as there was a beautiful view. We noticed that the waitress was worked off her feet, so my partner Sue, decided to help out and clear the tables, and clean them. Two ladies, ( I had other words for them, which I cannot print!!) were very rude to the waitress, that the waitress left crying. The chef, tried to cool things down, so these, two, so-called ladies, were rude to the chef. They eventually left.Thank God......Our meal came, very delicious. We praised the waitress, for being strong. Later the chef came and gave Sue and I a homemade cinnamon apple cake with whip cream. Delicious!!! Very nice dinner, and a great staff...We will be back.CheersRon Keast

We were camping at Qualicum Bay Resort and went in to order some Fries to go minutes after they opened at 5.The waitress had 2 or 3 tables already seated and seemed insanely frazzled by the rush".I told her I would like to order some fries

Had supper there last night and was great!!! We each got a single combo plate, one could have fed us both!! Then we ordered just a couple extra items, well we have enough food for 3 more meals each and so economical!!

Gross. The food seemed reheated as most of it was room temperature, and the rest was mouth scorchingly hot. The portions were small, especially considering we paid for a dinner for 2. Everything was swimming in (what I assume is store bought) sauce so it was hard to taste anything but that. Soda comes in cans so don't exlpect to have more than one beverage. Sorry, this is worse than mall food.

Ordered delivery to our vacation home and it came fresh and hot in 20 mins. Good food, just what you’d expect/want from a Chinese takeaway.Portions are very large...we over ordered, got 4 mains for 6 people and had loads left.

Used to be a great place to go before previous owner passed away but has gone beyond down hill since then. We've given it a few tries and it's terrible. The food is truck stop worthy at best and over priced. A Chinese restaurant without a Chinese menu? The portions are tiny for the price and quality. The staff leaves a lot to be desired sadly. The hours are so unpredictable it's hit or miss! Avoid this dive and drive 10 seconds further to either the Sandbar or Westcoast or even the food trucks!

What a horrible experience, it should show negative one star. We ordered dinner for two and after almost an hour, the four tables of two to three seated after our order had been taken were served. Waitress apologized and said she would buy the drinks we had and that the cooks pick the tickets at random and serve take out first. It was obvious from our observation that the regulars took priority. Needless to say we walked out. On the positive we walked up the road to the sandbar cafe and what an awesome place, we will be going back there many more times.

Walked 12 km from Horne Lake to Henry's with 14 people. Staff was excellent, food was fantastic. My husband and I shared a Wor Wonton and a #1 combo plate ; chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork and almond chicken. It was all delicious and enough to take home for another meal! They also have an extensive menu if you are looking for other than Chinese.

Spectacular location, great for viewing birds and wildlife. Very friendly service with quality basic menu and moderate prices.
