Art of Sauna and Spa

It's very good overall, I love the selection of saunas and their treatments are great. I have a couple of suggestions though:1. For the price I would expect better towels and robes, as they appear a bit worn down. The towels I got last time I visited had stains all over.2. It gets extremely loud in steam rooms then the steam kicks in. I've been to many different spas and their steam rooms are the loudest.3. They could also be a little easier on the essential oils, sometimes it is a bit too much, to the point it irritates your eyes.4. It would be great if they could install a cold water plunge tub.All in all, nice and relaxing atmosphere, and I like their no talking policy. I will be back and recommend it to my friends, but it would be great to see some improvements.

I was recommended to try this place by my friends as they previously have had great experiences here, but as a first time customer, I was pretty disappointed. The staff at the desk were all very nice, but kept giving me keys to lockers that were already in use. While they were very courteous, it didn't sit right with me that anyone could at any point have access to my locker ( needs a better and more secure system?) I also felt that the rooms were...not very clean. The himalayan room in particular has very dirty floors, and the steam room at the far right ( forgot the name) had kind of a musky/mildewy smell...not really what you want at bacteria-friendly temperatures. There's no actual 'lounge' for you to rest in between steams and the brown benches outside our a little bit awkward to sit on while everyone walks by but that's not really what I'm most concerned about. All I care about is a clean space. My Osteopath appointment was....awkward. That's the nicest way to put that experience. I understand that it's not a ''massage'' but I definitely left feeling less relaxed than when I went in and the guy has minus 5 customer service levels. I'm pretty disappointed as I just moved to the area, so I really just wanted a new sauna/spa place nearby where I could go regularly. I have a few appointments booked coming up, but I've cancelled all of them because of my experience last week. Im just posting this in hopes of management reading this and cleaning up the place and making sure all the rooms are cleansed properly. I will give it another try maybe in a few months to see if the conditions have improved."

I have been going here since it cost 25$ for the saunas! Loving the eminence body scrub & lavender mango body wrap, I get one basically every month. I’ve tried all the treatments & those two are my absolute favourite.

Honestly, this used to be a five star place for me. Changes have been made since COVID and it's just not as awesome.First, they no longer provide towels unless you're getting a treatment. It's a simple thing, but providing the towels makes you feel a lot less like you're at a public pool.Second, they have changed the Himalayan salt room so many times and the way it is now is just not as enjoyable as it was.Third, the Turkish bath used to be a pretty chill room, it was very warm but not hot and the warmth off the marble was what drove the experience. They've recently upped the steam and heat making it not a place that you can spend, say 30 minutes, laying on the marble.And while having it be a quiet zone is very scandinave of them, I think it's a little bit much. Keeping one's voice down and respectful of others. Yes, but fully quiet It's a little much and takes this place down a notch for say a couple trying to get a date in.Still offers great value, a clean environment, and an enjoyable retreat.

Maria P did an excellent job. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. She made my first experience at a spa the most memorable and I will be back. 10/10 recommend!! Definitely going back to her when I need to relax and unwind. Can not say enough good thing about her service!!

I had the Eminence facial here with Catie. She was fantastic! I fully fell asleep during the treatment.This was my first time at the spa and although we had plenty of time in the facility before our treatments, we still weren't able to get to all the different rooms. Not because it was busy but because there were *so many* different steam rooms and saunas!If you go - which I highly recommend you do - give yourself plenty of time to get around all the spa facilities. Absolutely wonderful experience. Great value for $$. Will 100% return. Highly recommend.

Both of us enjoyed our experience at Art of Sauna. The staff at front desk were all helpful and friendly. The variety of rooms, cold shower, and relaxing atmosphere all really helped us heal and recover especially during the winter. We brought big bottles of water to make sure we stay hydrated, and it was good to have stations where you can fill up our bottles. Make sure you bring your flip flops, extra masks, and a towel. I am looking forward to trying their traditional Turkish bath next time.

Yes several friends enjoy the space first time... it is a beautifully designed space! The temperature is good! Just the post covid change room product quality is consistently less thoughtful. Service can be warmer. There are better saunas in the world but this is one of few good places for a special sauna night in Greater Van

A visit to Art of Sauna was a much needed relaxation experience that is highly recommended to anyone. For my first visit I only went for the saunas - and wow was I taken a back! It felt breathless and soothing with the variation of saunas included. My second visit was with Daniela for the 75 minute body balancing ritual treatment. Never have I felt so relaxed and at peace to fall asleep outside of my own home. She was easy going, polite, professional, and did a spectacular job with true care of client concerns. Daniela also ensured she went over my injuries with me and used the right amount of pressure by assuring I wasn’t in pain during the treatment. By the end of it I felt refreshed, cleansed and smooth. With no doubt, I would book another treatment with Daniela in the near future!

I love Art of Sauna and Spa. I am an often visitor. The facility is always clean , not crowded. With a large variety of saunas , I always find a place to relax, stretch or get more intense thermal experience. The staff is responsive, polite and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place for relaxation, detoxification, or recovery after your gym routine.If you would like to have a Royal Treatment, I would recommend take one of the services Art of Sauna offers. Today I had Maria as a massage therapist. She was exceptional! In addition to her highly professional techniques, I loved small details she added to the treatment- hot stones, warm towels under my neck , ets. In general , this is my favourite place for massage- the atmosphere, highest quality massage tables, luxurious bedding and sheets touch of aroma essential oils. And at the end of the session- surprise- offer to indulge and pause with a glass of wine or tea. Perfect !!!
