Pretty fun place to go at night. They sometimes have live music upstairs and the price here is reasonable. They surprisingly have good Indian food. Anything with butter chicken sauce is highly recommended. Cajun chicken pasta is also very tasty.

Classic British pub with a pretty large selection of local and Canadian beers on draught. And a bunch of imports. The butter chicken poutine is a classic. I don't go here as often as I should. Nice patio along King St. in the Exchange.

I edited my rating to reflect the article in the Free Press. I have no time for establishments that cheat their employees out of rightfully earned wages. I used to love coming here, but I don't spend another cent under the current ownership

The bouncers that work here are incredibly competent and perceptive. My friend got so absurdly drunk and walked out for a smoke. The girl outside refused to let him back in on account of his stumbling and severe lack of sobriety. What is interesting to me is that she was able to see right through his ridiculous excuse of being paraplegic". It takes a trained specialist to identify a possible 11th thoracic vertebrae fracture

Service can be spotty here. Sometimes good, sometimes not.The curry is decent if you're hungry. The naan won't be fresh made.My friend didn't like the fish from the fish and chips.The nachos were average.Scotch eggs were decent (I don't have them very often so I'm not an expert)I didn't like their hot sauced wings. The Honey garlic was a bit better. The dry wings we had we the best out of the 3.Everyone was happy with the beer selection the last time i went. I have drinking friends but I'm not a drinker myself.This is a well known local hangout. A favorite during things like jazz fest or the fringe. It's a good spot to sit if you want to listen to music at the cube.

I had the Basic Curry, and my wife had the fish and chips. The curry was fine, but the rice was cold. The fish and chips were fantastic; not too much breading, with good fish. The fries were crispy and deliciously salty. It's a pub, this is the way. The ambiance is fun. Lots of sports on tv, the server was attentive and pleasant. Usually we come up the KHP for live music and drinks but it's a good spot for some relaxed comfort food.

One of our favourite places in the city! Absolutely love the owner and all the staff there. Food is delicious, lots of options for beer on tap, local breweries, incredible live music, drag brunches, pool tables, dart boards, and more. Amazing patio in the summer which often expands for special events in the Exchange/Old Market Square. HIGHly recommend this place…and often!

A great bar that I would always give 5 stars any other day. But there is now a marijuana store that takes up half of the lower level of the bar, and the upstairs/live music wasn't available the last 3 times I have went. This is the best part of the bar in my opinion and it sucks that it never seems to be open when I have gone this summer. The last time I went the bar was packed and the upstairs could have definitely been open!Is there a reason the upstairs no longer seems available, or is there anywhere I can look that shows the upstairs availability on a nightly basis?Attached pictures are of the new marijuana store inside the bar.Updated review due to owner response, would still like to see music in the month of August though! Especially with how big some of the crowds were in August!
