Sherwood Golf & Country Club

This is a lovely golf course, very picturesque and somewhat of a challenge. It is a wee bit out of the way which in turn has an effect respecting amenities. Course is well groomed and always in good to excellent condition. The one negative, are the insects, so be sure to take plenty of fly and mosquito repellent.

Great golf course , the greens are nice and green. Friendly staff. Golf carts and reasonable price. No driving range. It's a very lovely well kept course. They don't overcharge you, it's not to to busy and so far had no trouble booking a tee time. The staff are very friendly and the bathrooms are very clean ☺️ , great views of the course. They have cabins there you can rent as well.

We stayed in the chalets for a package (2 rounds, one night). The staff were all great: courteous, kind and good humoured. The chalet was lovely and clean, beds were plentiful and there were both soft or firm mattress options. Because of the very poor forecast for the second day, they gave us a voucher - no request or debate needed, so I was very impressed with that. The course is quite attractive, although I would not call it particularly easy (mind you, I am not a stellar golfer), and in great shape. DEFINITELY want to use a power cart rather than walk. Of note in the chalet - bring a book light if you are a reader, the lights aren't the best for enjoying a book before you crash for the night.

Staff is rude!! They turn off public internet if they feel too many are using it. Cabins are fine however if you plan to stay and use kitchen bring everything you need. There is a cork screw, can opener, some paper cups, plates and plastic utensils...nothing else. I would not recommend this place unless you are looking for a golf course with peace and quiet because you are completely cut off from the outside world.

The golf course was poorly maintained . The cart paths in many places were extreme,y dangerous. The fairways were not watered or grass cut. The greens were the only part of the course that was in good shape. Over all we were very disappointed . Originally we were going to play 18 holes but quite after 9 . Clubhouse did refund us for nine hole and cart fee’s as well.Would not put this course on mu bucket list .

This review is more focused on the Chalet accommodations than on the golf course. Although the golf course was not as tended to as I expected it would be. The Chalets are extremely overpriced for what you get. Considering what you can get for $300 a night at a spa resort with all complete amenities - this chalet accommodation ($350 after tax - which did not include golf as we used passes) missed the mark big time. If you book the 2 bedroom for 4, be prepared to not have enough comfortable seating for 4, not enough towels, not enough pillows, and the list goes on and on and on. The website for Sherwood Golf and Country club is difficult to navigate to book golf and accommodations, it's two separate contacts, and I have not been able to find many pictures/reviews of the chalets on any website. After contacting the chalet 2 times regarding 13 items we were lacking in our chalet - we have yet to have any of the items addressed!!!

We had a really great time down there. 12 of us went and for a stay and play weekend and if you stay in their chalets you get unlimited golf for the duration of your stay. 54 holes later and I'm actually starting to like the course.It's a little sunburnt but there has been no rain this summer so most courses are. The front nine is a lot tighter than the back nine and the woods thicker too so you'll have a better chance of finding an errant tee shot on the back. A lot of height differences on most holes so a cart is recommended.The cell service is a bit spotty throughout the property and the chalets don't have wifi so prepare to get back to nature when staying over. BBQs are on every chalet deck but we found that the kitchens were not stocked (no plates, glasses, serving utensils, etc) so plan accordingly.Overall a very enjoyable weekend and I look forward to heading back.

Went down with 12 other great guys for stay and play.If it werent for that would of left the first night.Very overrated.Course was rough,cart paths were dangerous,no wifi and the Marshall on Sunday afternoon was very rude,ignorant and agressive.It was 33 degrees outside and he followed us warning us to roll down our sleeves from our shoulders.I approached him in a friendly manner just to explain the situation and wad met with his finger pointed in my face telling me to obey or leave.He would not let me speak constantly talking over.It was so disappointing to have experienced that.The 2 prior days the starter and mashall were great.Unfortunatly this guy was on some sort of power trip.Un unfortuate situation.Ruined the experience.

A very challenging and scenic course. Excellent greens and accurate shots needed for the fairways. Straight shooters will love this course. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The setting is gorgeous, and next time, have to check into a chalet! A hidden gem of a golfer's haven.
