PTF Lawn Mower

I took my very old mower in for a repair and was taken care of professionally and personably. My remair was completed quickly for a very reasonable price and they told me how to winterize my mower for the season. I'm a happy customer that will be returning whenever necessary.I took some time to look through the other reviews and I'm a bit shocked at the negative comments. I didn't have to pay any kind of upfront fee to have it looked at so I'm not sure what those complaints are about.

TOTAL SCAM ARTIST! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!they charge $40.00 before they even look at your machine.I asked the serviceman to do a diagnostic and call me back before working on my generator.I suspected a dirty carburetor, and I told him I was NOT interested in a full servicing.Instead, 2 days later I get a call saying the work is all done and I owe an additional $200.00!All that was needed was a carburetor cleaning, not a full servicing.When I came for pickup,twice he tried to distract me and have me pay before I had him test the generator. heck, he even billed me 5 dollars for draining the fuel!I will never go here again. very dishonest business practice!

My fairly new Toro lawnmower wasn't working. It would start and then quickly stop. I brought it into PTF on a Tuesday and it was fixed and ready for pickup on Friday. The owner Dan took time to discuss with me the problem the mower was having (old gas) and talked to me about how to deal with my mower moving forward. I had lived in a strata for a number of years and hadn't been responsible for the maintenance of a lawn mower. Now that I have a house with a yard I want the mower to start when I find the time to get out and mow the lawn. I don't want to be fighting with a mower on my weekends and I'm not a small engine repair mechanic. I was more than happy to be able to leave it with Dan for 4 days and pay him for his services. I have read some of the other reviews before going to the repair shop. I have to disagree. The customer service I experienced was fantastic. As for those complaining about paying for the services, I think you need to understand this is 2015 and if you want someone to service your lawnmower you're going to have to pay about $150 - no one is going to fix your mower for $39.99.

Customer BEWARE! The shop owner is a fraud. He charges $40 diagnostic fee for warranty job. Diagnostic of a simple and obvious problem takes months. Repairs don't get done properly. Instead of replacing part under warranty he offers a quick patch for a fee. He doesn't care about customer satisfaction, only wants to make a quick buck. Very unreasonable and uncooperative. Please take you business elsewhere, don't get into the the same trap I did.

I called and they were there the next day. Mike called before he came to make sure I was home. Super friendly guy got right to it. fixsd it fast,the best part I didnt have to try and stick it in my car and drag it to some place and wait 3 weeks to get it back. I loved that kind of service. Thanks

Do not trust this people. They will try to use anything to take as much as possible of your money. They offer to fix my generator with a deposit... did nothing on it... didn't move from the place I left. They call me asking for more money than quoted and when i refused and went to pick my generator I noticed that they did not touch it from the corner left and they keep the deposit claiming that they check. No bolt was removed. Dishonest people.

This guy charges 45$ for diagnostic for machines that are under warranty, Not helping at all, just about money. I had a long conversation with him that 5 minutes looking into a small machine to see what is wrong and just purchased 1 year ago and used 3 times should not cost 45 $ . I blame Canadian Tire for choosing this shop for their warranty. I went to Austine tools rental in Coquitlam and they looked into my machine, did diagnostic and gave estimate for free. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS SHOP BUSINESS.

Excellent service! Dan the owner was just a life saver. I was on a job and my compressor stopped working. He had me in right away during his busy season and serviced the equipment to the T Really appreciate him and his help I would recommend PTF to anyone one needing help with thier small engine issues.Great work Dan!

Dan Friesen did a fantastic job on our Craftsman lawnmower that we have had for years. When we got it back, it was all shined up with sharp blades and worked like it was brand new.We highly recommend this business!

Not impressed at all. Found him to be 125% more expensive than the part I could find on Amazon. Found his service to be unreasonable and arbitrarily priced. Having said that, was I happy with the finished product. Absolutely! He knows what he is doing and if I were to find myself in another situation where I am desperate and have no time, I'd go to him. But if I do have the time, it's a different story.
