We interviewed 3 Pool and Spa companies before deciding to go with Solda Pools. Andrew Solda was our project manager and what I liked the most was that the leadership of this company is made up of engineers and people who are strong technically. Secondly was the fact that the crews are employees of Solda. We realized rather quickly that the amount we had budgeted for our project would soon receive a reality check as our wish list expanded as our excitement grew over having our dream backyard. I liked the fact that Solda had set base costs for most of the components of our project and prices for custom items by sq/linear ft. Andrew reminded us that project costs usually go up due to clients requesting design changes during the course of the project. He actually encouraged us to constantly review and revise our plan to suit our budget and style.Solda was not the lowest quote we received, but our decision to go with them was based on the professionalism Andrew displayed, the presentation and cost breakdown. Solda's reputation is well-known in the industry, but what impressed me the most was the professionalism and work ethic of their staff. They were courteous and very accommodating during the entire project. We were very impressed with the quality of the work. I don't want to leave anyone out, so I won't mention names, but the carpentry crew, stone masons, spa installers, demolition team, gas fitters, electricians, all were a pleasure to talk to and work with.Now, just because I gave a 5-star review, it doesn't mean that everything was blue sky. I did get frustrated a few times with there being gaps in the work schedule, but I do understand that it was a busy summer and subsequently our project timeline was a little longer than I would have liked even with change orders.We have had experience with contractors completing jobs, but never coming back to handle deficiencies despite claiming to have 1 and 2-yr warranties. In my opinion, this is nothing more than a solid sales pitch. Solda is true to their word and Andrew handled any issues that we reported to him in a timely manner.I have no reservation in recommending Solda for any pool/spa/landscaping project. They are truly a family company and you get what you pay for.I have posted some pictures of the completed hardscape. Solda will be back in the spring to install various landscape features (trees, bushes, plants, lighting etc). I will post additional pictures at that time.

We had the pleasure of partnering with Solda Pools on a recent outdoor kitchen project.This was our first shade project with Solda Pools. From the onset their team was professional, punctual and knowledgeable. Through the specifying stages they asked quality questions, ultimately deciding to go with one of our new shade structures. To the Solda Pools Team,Thank you for turning our backyard in to our little paradise. The entire process from start to finish has been entirely seamless, well organized and extremely professional. You said in the fall when we started the design process that we would be swimming by the May long weekend and you delivered....minus the weather but that was out of your control and we were able to have our first swim with the heat turned up!Frank your ability to come up with an ideal design for our yard to maximize the pool size, site lines from the house and decking area impressed us as well as the transparent quoting process. It was by far the most thorough and well-structured process we encountered. When construction started in the late fall it was like clockwork and progressed extremely well to get the pool shell in before the winter break. When construction resumed in the early spring, one of the benefits of the COVID pandemic was we were able to be home to watch the transformation unfold, we really enjoyed watching how organized and efficient everything was and it just put us at ease knowing we had the top guys in the business working for us during such uncertain times.Now that we are into the heat of the summer, we are extremely appreciative of how the entire Solda Pools team came together to deliver in such uncertain times. Out of all the home renovations we have done this was by far the most seamless, well executed project.Whenever people on Facebook groups or in the neighborhood ask us about the pool and process, we have such positive things to say about Solda Pools and recommend they call you.Thank you for a job well done!

Working with Solda for our new pool was a great experience. With their 30 years experience, they don't miss what other might miss. We enjoyed the fact that their work is fully integrated ie the Solda employee are working on the pool from A to Z - no outside contractor. That makes them much more accountable than any other company. They finished the pool ahead of time and on budget. I highly recommend that company for your new premium pool build.

It’s been about 18 months since Solda installed our our pool / hot tub, cabana and deck and all I can say unequivocally is that Solda as a company & contractor is the best decision we made for our home. From the owners all the way to the foremen, each member of their team is respectful of your hard earned money, professional and will never cut corners. Everyone on their team is in house and there are no subcontractors. I had opportunities to meet many of the guys working on my home and was pleasantly surprised at how many Solda members have been there for 10, 15 and 20+ years. Having over 15+ years of exposure in construction it’s a pleasure to see people show passion in their craft.We interviewed the city’s top pool builders and while a few of my friends used other providers, when my friends come over they are blown away by the finished product of Solda. It should be noted that their maintenance program has been fantastic. We use them for weekly service and they always arrive on time and do a great job, rain or shine. I can’t tell you how nice it is in a world like today to have people who care show up on time, with a smile and a do a great job.For those contemplating a pool, you have likely worked hard and are doing your research. Having a custom pool built is not something you want to cut corners, so going with a reputable firm is the way to do it. As for the well known pool builders in the GTA, Solda was the right choice. They respected our budget and property, worked in a tight timeframe, never made a mess and constantly communicated throughout the project.Pool building is not cheap and while some people call around asking for quotes over the phone, this is the wrong approach. Every site has it’s factors that will effect pricing. From the first time we met Frank he was patient and answered all of our questions. Frank, Peter, John or Andrew set Solda apart because they are 1) family owned & in house operated, 2) professional engineers who think about things like water flow, TRCA, and work with your desired vision and 3) are on site supervising, not a third party or a rookie. For those reading reviews and deciding who to go with, Solda will exceeded your expectations as they turn your vision into the best part of your home.We look forward to a long term relationship with them. Chose this company after much research into prospective pool companies. Family owned and operated. You deal with principals at all stages of the design and installation. They went to great efforts to work with us on design and budget. The good news is they delivered on all aspects of their construction and service. The workmanship and craftsmanship are exceptional. The workers, all employees of the company as they do not use outside contractors, were meticulous in all aspects of the work. Moreover, the Solda family members were on site working with the crews to ensure the work was to the company's high standards. The company was quick to respond to every query and issue. Now the not so good news. This company is a premier company with a premier price. However, you get what you pay for and years down the road, when the price fades, you are left with a magnificent pool and landscape that the family can enjoy for many years. Would have no hesitation in recommending this company.
