We have ordered from WOW over the years and in general, you will get a satisfying meal. Overall, the dark chicken meat is tender and the outer layer is crispy, has a nice crunch, and is not too greasy. On this occasion, the critique on what we ordered:1) Soy garlic fried chicken: the sauce missed the mark - this tasted more like sweet soy sauce and definitely did not have the garlic flavor we are used to when we order this flavor from other places.2) Shallot chicken: the white meat was on the dry side as the meat inside did not carry much juice. The sauce that came with it was nice - it was sweet, a bit salty, mustardy, with a slight spicy kick at the end.We also had bulgogi fries which had a light sweet flavor to these mildly crispy potatoes.I would probably still order from WOW but they would not be my top choice to go to for fried chicken.

It was my first time to try their Korean Fried chicken and I was unsure of what to order. I applaud the Owner who was there and gave me suggestions on which ones to try. I would've just ordered the regular one without any sauce on it but he said it will be bland. So I got the spicy chicken and it was so danngg good! I will definitely visit their restaurant again when I'm back in Calgary. Give this chicken and try and you will say the name speaks for itself.

Chicken is well marinated. I love their soy garlic flavor. I prefer the boneless thigh chicken than the bone-in chicken parts. It was juicy and I paired it with the cheese seasoned fries.The place was clean and service was fast. Best Korean fried chicken I’ve tasted so far in Calgary. I’m glad that their lunch meal extends till 4pm. I will be back for more of their flavors.

I want to say thank you to the owner, we parked on the side of the road after reading sign wrong and went directly to WOW Chicken to order, the owner checked on the street and didn't see my car, but he was still explaining me that No parking allowed on the street at that time, I pulled the car away immediately, and when I got back, the parking department was issuing tickets. I really appreciate your service and warning, you could have not reminded me. However, you saved my day! ! :) Thanks a lot! ! ! ! !

It's pretty standard Korean fried chicken. The chicken itself has very little flavor to it as the flavor is supposed to come from the sauces. I personally prefer chicken that is brined for flavor like chicken on the way or click n cleaver over this style. The coating is nice and crispy and not greasy. The portion was also quite small for $13. Nothing great IMO.

Amazing place for Korean fried chicken!My first time going here and I ordered their original chicken, and seasoned fries. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It tasted delicious with the bulgogi dip. The fries were seasoned well with the garlic seasoning, slightly overcooked but still tasted great, and paired well with the chicken.The staff were amazing too. Great suggestions for the dip and flavour for the chicken and fries.Definitely satisfied my cravings for chicken, and I would go back here again.

Would definitely recommend coming here for some Korean fried chicken especially Soy Garlic chicken and cheese fries :) Friendly staff and fast service. Chicken is cooked fresh with the perfect amount of flavour and not greasy at all. Good proportions and great for sharing with company. The place is kept neat and tidy adding on to the pleasant experience! 5/5

Wow! 5 wows 5 plus in every way. Very clean, professional, well groomed staff, and over all the location is on par with some very high end restaurants. The decor is simple,warm, and comfy. Does not act like a franchise, aside from the menu. Even the owner is out in and out of the dining room and kitchen, working hard. We will return many times.

This is my favourite place for Korean chicken in Calgary. The service was good overall (but took a long time to get water refills) and the food was excellent. Possibly the best fries in the city and the chicken was so crispy yet juicy! The original could have more flavour (tastes mostly like breading) but all the flavoured options were great. My favourite is probably garlic soy, but spicy was really nice too. The interior design of this space is by far the nicest of any Korean chicken restaurant in the city, and the prices are fair too. Will definitely be back!
