Sport Chek

I went to sport check Nanaimo to buy a new pair of ski boots. The salesman Larry was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and took the time to make sure I was getting the right product from start to finish. I was not expecting that level of customer service from sport check. After helping me select the right boots for my feet and ability (not the boots I had plans on buying) and then selling me on a set of foot beds and then heating the boots to speed up the break in these are the most comfortable ski boots I have ever worn and couldn’t be happier

I was not really happy with my visit to SportCheck today. In my opinion, the store was organized very poorly (why are all the shoes along the walls and not in one area?), there are very few staff members compared to customers, and the store doesn't seem to carry all the common brands, such as Hoka, the brand of running shoe that I was after.Because of limited brand variety and staff members who served multiple customers at once, the store atmosphere felt anxious, not really like a fun shopping experience.However, one of your staff members was a bright ray of light during this time. Anthony was very kind, patient, and polite with me. I think more people like him would make a great difference for this store.Ultimately, if you need sports equipment and you've exhausted all local options, SportCheck might be the place for you—just be aware of the somewhat chaotic store layout and the shortage of staff.

Richard invited us to come right away before the store was going to open. He was kind and supportive towards my daughter (who was in tears missing her first game, letting her team down). Excellent service. They did not have what I was looking for, the associate (I saw after it said manager on his name tag) called the competition to see if they had the products I was looking for. Amazing customer service! Thank you!

I was unhappy to communicate with manager whose name Richard today. My son bought a bottle Melatonin yesterday. But he didn’t request a receipt. I came to return it as it is not fit for his age. I showed them Credit card transaction with time and Sport Chek charged it. But they didn’t find any detail about it in pc system. Mr. Richard said he can’t accept my returning as there is no proof of purchasing at his store. He looks impatient. It is very strange. They charged money, but they can’t find record.

I found what I needed on my own. It took over 5 minutes to find someone that would bring me a size I required. When I did find someone who appeared to be in a leadership role,..black shirt,,,he called someone else to come over so I had to continue to wait even longer.Would be a good idea to refresh on customer experience with all levels of the staff at this location. The only reason that I even got 3 stars was that you had what I was looking for in my size.

My husband loves buying athleisure clothing from Sports Chek. Sport Chek is possibly one of the best stores to buy such clothes from!They have a great collection of runners, caps and ofcourse athleisures! Personally, I love the hoodies and jackets they carry!The employees at this location were very helpful and we didn't have to wait for long at the billing counter!

Larry was helping us fit ski boots today. He is awesome, goes the extra mile and then some to make sure you get the right boots. I didn't know there was so much to know about a proper boot fitting let alone all the tricks to using and looking after your ski boots after you get them. Great customer service from an expert!

The store is amazing with a lot of different sporting goods to choose from. The only issue I found while in this place was the organization. I feel that finding what you are looking for is a bigger task than it has to be. There are no signs (and if there are they are small) separating sections of the store. Other than that this store is amazing. The service from the employees was fast and the staff were very friendly.
