They put together two 3.0 mercs for me years ago... Nothing good to say about these guys. The gear cases made nosies from day one.. under inspection from another shop and to my horror everything was loose and both gear cases internals came apart by hand !!!! not sure if any tools were ever used when they were assembled. One powerhead died just after 1 year use.. The other powerhead is still running today.. knock on wood nosie in backround""

Called twice to confirm they carried Mercury optimax" oil. They confirmed that they indeed did. Had a friend stop in on his way up North and pick it up.... He was sold the blue high performance oil and told it's just the same which it is not.... Disappointing and huge inconvenience. Had no boat available for the weekend."

Paul has rebuilt and sold me various motors over the years, ALWAYS provided excellent service, reliable motors,(our cottage is 20 kms by water), even in the busy season! Great place. Paul fixes what’s broken, doesn’t look for “extra” repairs. Andy Koski

Seem to me that those who write a bad review are the kind of people that have no patience and think everything should be dropped to work on there stuff. I have never found a more knowledgeable person or a harder workers the folks at top gun. If you want your boat to work the best it can, go see them, you won't be disappointed.

I had topgun work on my 21 Seebold. I purchased it with a blown motor and I got a brand new 200 with a cowl for the price of a rebuild on my 2.4 200. They are extremely busy so work takes time but they will warn you ahead of time.

Had my 2003 mercury EFI totally rebuilt by Paul at the busiest time of the year. He delivered as promised and did an excellent job. Thanks again Top Gun. BTW mechanical work with cars or boats is not a perfect science. I think you have to understand that. Paul has your best interest in mind with all the work he does. That is the type of guy you want to do mechanical work for you.

I bought a 175 Merc from Paul and he was awesome in his support and turnaround after a blown 200. He was then very helpful with supporting helping me find some steering parts for a sea flea I built with my son 3 years ago. And again today he took the time to help me with an issue on a little 25 hp motor with an issue and made some great suggestions. No money to him on that, but great help.

These people are engine guys in the truest form. They're not much into customer service so don't expect a cuddle and a cup of coffee. If you want coffee, take your own. They repair motors. And in the time I saw them in action they seem to know what they're doing.Personalities aside I needed a replacement alternator and compressor pully for my mercury engine. I walked away with used but decent replacements for 1/4 what I'd pay for new with and the words, if they don't work, bring em back n try again. Wasnt necessary. Nice save guys.!!!

Paul is an asset to the performance outboard community. Great guy who treats you the way you treat him. Some need to realize the world does not revolve around them. They are swamped for a reason.
