Being a property manager can be a difficult and, at times, thankless job. You have to deal with such a wide range of people at such different times in their lives. Attempting to build positive working relationships with this truly varied population while maintaining the best interests of the property owners can be a truly difficult task. We have been with Oakwood for 8 years now. They are professional, courteous and great at communicating with us when there may be an issue. We regularly receive property reports and photos. The monthly financial statements are comprehensive and include a year end statement to help with our taxes. Its a relief for an absentee owner to know that Carol and her team are on top of things. I would highly recommend them to anybody who needs a property manager.

Oakwood managed our condominium property for 8 years and the entire experience was completely positive. Carol selected excellent tenants and her strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act was willingly shared to ensure that we always did the right thing. She has good relationships with various trades and was always able to get necessary work done at the property in a timely manner. I think a smaller property management company like Oakwood is able to provide a more personalized service and I highly recommend Carol and her team.

My husband and I had found a tenant for our rental unit. We thought we had checked them out thoroughly! Turned out not to be the case. Carol manages one of our other rental properties (tenant there is superb) and we became so frustrated with the situation we turned this property over to Carol for handling. Carol was fantastic! However, by the time we were legally able to get them out it had cost us thousands of $$ (going through the process takes months, during which time they are still in the property, trashing it and not paying rent!). The moral of the story - hire Carol to find you a great tenant!

Carol manages one of our executive single family homes. We recently had a large insurance loss and I have to say that Carol went above and beyond to ensure all damages as a result of the loss were repaired properly, working with our insurance broker and adjuster, contractors and while maintaining good relations with our tenants. Kudos to Carol and her staff! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for property management.
