Good place for Asian desserts. Lots of options to choose from. The menu looks condensed compared to last year. Tables are obviously sticky and not clean when we sat down. They could probably do a better job of cleaning in between customers. Desserts came out really fast. Purple in Love is a grape flavored shaved ice with ice cream fruits and other toppings. The syrup was too sweet for my taste and the shaved ice is what you'd expect with traditional western style shaved ice. The tofu with glutinous rice could use more coconut sauce. However, the best dish I tried was the House Special Golden Mango Grass Jelly. Not too sweet, but full of mango flavor, soft mangos and lots of grass jelly.

A really nice place to sit and have desert! Everything is roughly around 10$ or less, so if you’re having a sweet tooth, this is a great spot to swing by and have a treat. The interior is also very clean and airy, and they also do take out for bubble tea if you don’t want to dine in.

The Dessert Kitchen is a pleasant establishment to visit in the heart of Harbord Village. Specializing in Asian-inspired treats and eats, Dessert kitchen has both savoury options, and its namesake -- dessert. The latter of which being the superior of the two.The menu is decently affordable and varied, with many options to appease one's craving for sweets. The savoury side of the menu is not necessary as varied, with the majority being either fried or topped with large amounts of cheese, but make for an okay dinner option. As for the desserts, all are noteworthy and satisfy a craving. Highly recommend the vanilla serradura and cream of early grey -- both of which are exceptionally filling and valuable for the price. Additionally, neither are overwhelmingly sweet, so no need to fear ordering either and getting something unedible. Some items, although aesthetically pleasing presentation-wise, are definitely overpriced. Such as the egg waffles, which are exceptionally small portion-wise, and the polar bear Hong Kong Milk Tea which felt lacking flavour-wise. So, be mindful of that.As for the atmosphere, it is exceptionally bright, modern and decently spacious, with courteous staff that makes The Dessert Kitchen a place you should definitely try at least once.

They have a variety of desserts to choose from. I couldn't make up my mind on what to order. The mango shaved ice was really good, the mango proportion to ice was perfect. I'd recommend trying that dish.

The place has a lot of potential with a good-sized backyard with a big tree but it almost feel like the owner doesn't really pay attention to attract customers. The backyard is a little run down with weeds overrun the corner. I walked pass this place a lot but never noticed there is a dessert place here so maybe the store front needs to be adjusted a little to make it more inviting. The food and drink is decent, nothing special, pretty sure the desserts are from store-bought ingredients. Overall an okay experience but probably won't come back.

Had the mango with vanilla soft serve. It was a bit too sweet and the portion size was huge, but i loved the fresh mango!

When I went there was only one other table and three girls working on their phone the -entire- time. We had to go up to order, go up to get their attention and go up to pay.The mango sago was not great. Wouldn't really come back.

Adore the wide selection on the menu; there’s a good mixture from Taiwanese to Hong Kong. The desserts weren’t too sweet and tasted fresh. The fried snacks were delicious and flavourful too.We got:Taiwanese Popcorn ChickenDeep fried party sharerOriginal milk bubble teaBlack sesame and coconut shaved ice cream

I recently visited The Dessert Kitchen, and although it is a small place, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a wait for seating for 6 people, as there was a table of 3 that stayed till closing and finished their desserts. It was a bit of a long wait, and I wish there had been some kind of time limit in place. However, the kids did enjoy the desserts that we ordered, which was the highlight of our visit.
