Smart Rock Pools and Interlock

I recently had work completed by Rob and the team at Smart Rock... I couldn't be happier. They were very professional while on site, they were extremely efficient and the quality of work was on point. Hire Rob (Smart Rock) with full confidence!

We contacted Smart Rock for a quote on an interlock patio. They consulted with us and provided a design we loved. During the process, they made suggestions and tweaks as the installation progressed that, ultimately, improved our project.We are very happy with the end result amd highly recommend them.

If you need snow removal, Smart Rock is a great choice. They were able to accommodate us for last minute request while we were away on vacation. Driveway looked great when we got home. I will be using them again and recommending them.

This was the second project that I hired Smart Rock Interlock & constriction to complete. I was very pleased once again with the expertise and attention to detail Rob brought to the job. Rob also provided excellent decorating advice which resulted in the final product surpassing my expectations. I look forward to working with Rob and his company on my next renovation project.

Rob and his entire crew are fantastic! I hired Smart Rock to install a small interlock patio in my front yard and I was blown away by their professionalism and workmanship. Not only did Rob make this happen for me very late in the year, he also had very little advance notice and was still able to go above and beyond to get my project completed. They were fast and efficient, completing the job in just a little over one day, and they kept a very clean worksite (they even brought my garbage and recycling bins in for me!) As it turns out, I didn't have quite enough product to do what I initially said I wanted, but regardless, they adapted quickly and solved that problem by coming up with a beautiful alternative design. I was very impressed by everyone on the crew and would highly recommend them to anyone who has a landscaping project. I've already discussed a spring project with Rob and will be hiring them to come back! Thank you Rob, to you and your entire crew, for all of your excellent and hard work!

Rob and his team were very great to work with. The work took exactly as long as Rob said it would, and as promised, they kept a neat and tidy work site the whole time!

We contracted Smart Rock to re-do our front porch/walkway and the entire process was a great experience. Starting with Liz we had a prompt quote and renderings, she answered any questions we had speedily.Rob and crew did a fantastic work on site, things were cleaned well after work was completed. I would not hesitate to use Smart Rock for future work.

This is a difficult review for me to write because the degree of service we received was not consistent throughout all phases of the work; the most salient of which being that my son almost became seriously injured due to negligence of the company by not following building codes.We asked Robb (The owner) to create for us a stone walkway and wooden decking that went from the main front entrance to the stone walkway. During the planning phase Robb was very prompt and proactive in making sure the design fit our budget and was asthetically pleasing. During the construction phase Robb worked well with us, the workers were professional and we were happy with the direction events were going.After the job was completed I enquired about a permit, that was not done, and Robb informed me that it was not required. A couple of weeks later my son tried to squeeze through the gap that was between the deck boards and lower railing, within seconds he began to turn red as he was stuck due to his head being stuck between the gap. I pulled him out, soothed him and realized the building code issue. Russell building codes state 10cm max for the gap and ours was close to 8 inches.I informed Smartrock of the incident and they were not aware of the building codes in place that prevent these types of accidents. Robb did send over a worker who did extend the lower railing, however the fix was not congruent with the rest of the style and is an eye sore.I have been asking Smart Rock to do a permit, that is required, however after many months it is still not done; a permit takes a week max to complete for this job.What started off on the right foot has turned out to be a stressful process and I still have no permit and not sure what to do because the job still isn’t done until the permit is completed.I hope this review helps anyone considering hiring the company for future work. Had building codes been adhered and the job completed(finished permit) this would of been a five star review. #Smartrock

Smart Rock and the Team completely remodeled my condo, including the kitchen and making me a new workout room. It has become a place I feel proud of and will be happy to welcome guests (after COVID).Rob met with me to discuss my needs and wants and proposed options for the design within my budget, including the best materials for pets and for my work out room. The design is really innovative and they did things I would never have thought of, including framing my windows in way where it is now the center piece of my condo. They explained the process to me clearly and actively consulted me throughout the process, including on potential issues, and were responsive to my questions. I am working from home and they were happy to accommodate me in case I needed quiet.Everything was on time and on budget. It was exactly what I wanted.

We had Smart Rock put in an inground pool for us late this fall (in some very wet and cold conditions). The team was excellent - professional, kind and courteous. Rob knows his stuff and took the time to explain each step to us as they went along. The finished product was quickly covered in snow and so we don’t pictures to to share but we are so pleased with our pool and can’t wait to jump in next spring! I would hire Smart Rock again without hesitation.
