For my 30th birthday, I didn’t want to go out to a bar or restaurant, I simply wanted to celebrate at home with friends and family. My sister suggested we make a big photo backdrop wall. One of my NYE resolutions is to support local businesses, so we came here.I picked out some giant plastic looking balloons as I thought they’d make an amazing prop piece for the pics.They couldn’t get a weight on them that would properly hold them down and sort of ruined the ribbons pulling and tearing on the them trying to find a proper weight. I finally told them to leave it, we would just tie them at home.Only half of them made it home, 3 of them popped, despite our car having the AC on.We called in immediately and they said they’d replace them. We started driving down, and they called back saying they weren’t sure why but the owner/manager said never mind, they would only sell more, not replace the broken ones we were bringing in.The manager called me today saying the reason they popped is because they fill them extremely full to look good, but this increases the risk of popping. That and the hot weather but we came prepared for that with the AC on.She was rude and offered an obviously irritated apology.Lesson learned I guess. We’ve been purchasing balloons from party city for over a decade without any issue, and always blown away with the results of their products. Whether it was my daughters summer bday or my sons winter parties.While it’s nice to support local, this is one I will not support again and will try somewhere else.

I came here to buy my first fountain pen and the Lady who helped me was phenomenal! She took me through how to insert cartridges, how to use converters, how to ink a cartridge, and even care for the pen. Overall i had a great experience here and would recommend this place very highly

Friendly helpful staff, staff take the time to explain different fountain pens, inks etc. but also allow you time to browse and look at items or ink swatches etc

I've been ordering from U.S. sites and some Eastern Canadian sites and then I stumbled across Reid's. I thought I'd place an order and then maybe try and stop in the next time that I was in Calgary. (I live in VERY rural Alberta).I was already thrilled at the selection, prices, and fantastic shipping costs but the best was yet to come. From placing my order to delivery was two days. TWO DAYS. I had been ordering things out of Edmonton but got fed up with the two to three WEEKS delivery.I think I've found my new favourite stationery shop! This could be very very bad for my wallet. Haha

The best source for all things fountain pen. I have been finding everything I have needed for my Schaefer, Cross, and Pelican pens since 1999!

This store has a little bit of everything. From stationary, high class/expensive pens, ink, markers & calligraphy sets, to kitchen ware, balloons, party supplies, and gift ideas! Everyone on staff was all extremely knowledgeable, easy to approach and knew the merchandise extremely well. They are reasonably priced for the location (being on 17th Ave), and it is super easy to get there!

Awesome stationery store! I could've easily spent the day exploring this cool store. I prepared ahead of time and ordered online to pickup in store when we drove to Calgary. We were pleasantly surprised there was parking available behind the shop. My order was ready a week before our trip south and the store was accommodating to hold onto my purchase until we were able to get there. Everything was perfect and I will not hesitate to purchase again from this store in the future. There is so many wonderful items to look through, I definitely recommend visiting this shop.

The best stationery store in Calgary! Only place that carries 0.3mm mechanical pencils. There are so many beautiful pens and pencils. This is the perfect place to find stationery gifts. They are worth a visit if you haven't been here yet. They also have parking at the back for their customers. I can't praise them enough for having such a good variety of higher quality products.
