What I have witnessed over the course of a decade, is an organizational shift from outward vision to a reactionary and protective focus.TheyAlmost everything ILWR does is done is aimed at safeguarding the agency from liability and to safeguard it's own self-interest.(froaccountabilitym their web site) they say that their values include:accountability.respect.empowerment.responsiveness.andcollaborationHowever, in practice, ILWR is only loosely" tied to these.They have a few attendants who provide exceptional care. But they those few are the exception

Very friendly staff

You will see the good reviews are from 2 years ago...when the service was good. It has deteriorated to the point that consumers are not getting the care they need and the staff are treated poorly. The one star is for the staff who continue to work because of their great care for those in their care.

Terrible company that urgently needs new management. They treat their attendants horribly and have the worst communication. They are also super short staffed because they way they treat their employees and then the disabled people suffer.

I have had several bad experiences as a consumer with ILCWR but the one I experienced I would like to share. ILCWR has terrible communication skills with it's consumers.My mother had to go out for her appointment so she got my breakfast ready which was a muffin expecting my worker to arrive 10 minutes after she left. My mom usually feeds me before her errands but just this time we decided the attendant feed me as my mom was running late for an appointment. I waited and waited and there was no sign of my worker. I called the secretary afterwards and he told me that my attendant was actually scheduled for 11:00. Nearly 2 HOURS LATER! Nobody ever even let me know otherwise my mom would have worked around it. I had to look at my breakfast for 2 HOURS smelling the cinnamon in the muffin not even able to eat it. Imagine not being able to feed yourself and not having anyone there to help you. This isn't even my worst experience with ILC as a consumer.
