I recently had the pleasure of dining at Oaken Barrel Pub and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff and the inviting ambiance of the pub.The menu is extensive and offers a wide variety of delicious options, from classic pub fare to more elevated dishes. Everything I tried was prepared perfectly and tasted absolutely amazing. The beer selection was also fantastic, with a great variety of craft beers and ciders.What really stood out to me, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about ensuring I had a great experience. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.Overall, I highly recommend Oaken Barrel Pub to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The food, drinks, and service are all top-notch and I can't wait to go back again soon

Tried it out on a recommendation from someone local. The food was fine, but it didn't quite do it for us. Will give credit that they are generous with cheese on their garlic bread and in their Mac & Cheese, but the Mac & Cheese definitely needs an add on (maybe bacon or pulled pork).

Used to be a great date spot for my girlfriend and I but we have decided to stop going after the last experiencePros, the waitresses are amazing ! They work hard and the drinks are made well.Cons. Food is so over priced. Last time we went the poutine had 6, I'm not joking six small curds of cheese. The food is so over priced and not really worth it. They're trying to charge $3+ for things like a small side of salsa. It would be good if it wasn't so over priced. Unless you're willing to pay quite a lot not worth the visit.Shame as it used to be a restaurant we would recommend highly.

Well that was a good time! Met some friends for lunch around 1pm on a Saturday. We were greeted immediately by the friendliest little thing! Sorry I didn't catch her name, but she was great! Attentive, friendly, adorable, quick! Had a couple Caesars...perfect. Had the Whiskey Burger...deeeee-licious. With fries...super crispy. Highly recommend , don't understand why the place wasn't packed. Everyone should just get there! Mean it!

Myself and 5 of my friends were served here tonight by Josee. First of all, I've only ever been to Greenwood once before, we stopped somewhere then too and so my expectations weren't high whatsoever. The service Josee gave us tonight reminded me of high class professional work I used to see in some of the best places in Toronto, from being attentive when drinks were low, extremely positive and friendly, and even knowing cocktail ingredients off the top of her head at the table - they had two massive tables just sit down right before we got there too.She let us know when food was being plated, and I personally felt like she was on point the entire night. Phenomenal service.I got the fish tacos and the chickpea wrap for later. The wrap looks delicious, the fish tacos were surprisingly delicious since I've never seen one not done with fish that isn't deep fried, but there was so much flavour and everything was cooked excellently, I would definitely order it again!I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a smaller menu with lots of different options for both vegans and meat eaters, to children. Fantastic spot.

Food (chicken Alfredo recommended, was not choice list) and service were excellent, a 4 on venue due to lacking alittle light in our seating area. I will definitely return. The place must be popular, started getting very busy upon departure.

no atmosphere. very cold in the resraurant. waited over an hour for our food, and it was not the best. soup of the day was not even hot and tasted bad.

First time to the Oaken Barrel pub in Greenwood N.S . The service was impeccable, very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was inviting and warm. The appetizers were delivered fast and hot. The main course was plated beautifully, and absolutely delicious. The whiskey glaze in my burger was so good , never tasted anything like it. Definitely recommend!!!!

The area is without power however this establishment was open. Service was prompt and friendly and food was very good. We were in for their brunch menu which I had the standard breakfast and my wife tried the breakfast poutine. Both were delicious.
