Love the concept and the ambiance. Sat at the bar. The drinks are good. The food however wasn't up to our standard. We disliked half of the food we got. We called before going to ask if they have vegan food they said they can accommodante but when I went there and spoke to the chef, I realized I didn't have much of a choice. They don't even have fresh vegetables or anything they can make for a vegan person. So he made me a pasta with tomato sauce. I honestly can make a better pasta at home. I had to dump a cup of hot sauce to add flavor. I also had a salad as an entre (INSALATA) that cost 22$. I think the pricing is completely ridiculous for the portion and the ingredients. My friend had the bone marrow and oxtail pasta called Angolotti": he said it was balnd

This is, without a doubt, the best fine dining Italian kitchen in Montreal as of the time I'm writing this review. The atmosphere was good, the service was excellent, but let's face it, you're here to learn about the food. And the food was phenomenal. We took the sharing option for 4 people and almost sampled the whole menu. Everything is done in beautiful simplicity. There aren't 72 ingredients per plate, but rather just a few flavours that shine in every bite. The raw appetizers (carpaccio and branzino) were well seasoned and garnished. The zucchini flowers were packed with flavour and the octopus was grilled just right, which is not an easy feat even for big chefs. The focaccia is in a league of its own. It was unapologetically oily. It's reminding you that you're not here to diet ; you're here to make your tastebuds feel alive! It was sublime. The pasta plates... Well, this is not a commercial kitchen trying to produce as many spaghetti bolognese per hour as they can. This is a kitchen where the chef seems to be cooking what he likes, and you can feel it in every plate. Everything was well balanced and delicious. The meat! Great cut, great meat quality. It beats most big and fancy steakhouses in town, but I wasn't here for the steak. What I'll say is if you have a celiac person in your party who can't have pasta, they will certainly enjoy the steak. If they're both celiac and vegan, well you need new friends. The desserts! They went simple. I was worried. It's a gamble, but it's a winning one. It works. The panna cotta is to die for and the torta caprese could break couples if there was only 1 slice left at the end of the night. Finally, the wine selection and recommendations were great. If you want a better Italian meal, you're going to have to book yourself a plane ticket to Italy, drive to an Italian village and try to charm an old nonna into adopting you for a day.I'll be back soon to try whatever is left on the menu!

Very classy atmosphere and decor for a nice night out. The food and drinks are on the pricier side but very high quality and tasty. Service was good, our waiter was very knowledgeable. The tiramisu is one of the best I have had. Portions were quite small so I would recommend getting an appetizer if you are quite hungry. Will definitely be going back to this beautiful restaurant.

Came here based on a few articles noting that Stellina had some of Montreal’s best pasta and great ambiance. Upon a glance at the menu, at around ~35 dollars a plate, hoped that price would’ve reflected quality.Sadly not so - most of the pastas we ordered were either too salty or unsalted at all. Rigatoni had great presentation but when it came time to dig in, lacked substance in flavour and depth. Portion to price ratio was completely off - highlight of this was the Tagliolini at 39 dollars and we received about 10 pieces of pasta. The Agnolitti was equally as egregious - for one of the most expensive mains, portions were sample sized.I get restaurants are in a bit of a pinch with rising food and labour costs but for this reason we extremely disappointing for the prices we paid for.Service started great - a smiling server with an in-depth understanding of the menu. However as the night went on, our server vanished and was inattentive. No asks on whether we wanted more drinks and no checking in on how the meal tasted. Again, for the price point, really unacceptable.Highlights were the appetizers, burrata and polpo both great in flavour but lacking in portions. The decor and the drinks were great, the ambiance was lacking compared to what you normally get in a buzzing Vieux Port scene.

An excellent albeit extremely expensive Italian restaurant. The service was top notch and the restaurant space itself was very nice. Also, while we didn’t sit at the bar, it is a beautiful structure. The food was simply amazing with very strong flavors. It is obviously made with so much care and it shines through with each dish. Be prepared to spend a lot but it’s for an amazing meal and experience.

My favorite Italian resto in Montreal!!! Where do I start? The pasta selection is yummy personified, the cocktails are well-thought of and so fun, and the desserts are the perfect balance between traditional and signature. Love love LOVE the restaurant's motto hahaha (IYKYK). I visit whenever I can and have recommended it to several friends and relatives, as well as acquaintances and strangers :D.

My husband and I came to Stellina for our anniversary dinner. We had such a wonderful time there. We ended up staying for about 3 hours and never felt rushed once. The food was impeccable. Our favorites were the burrata, branzino, and homemade focaccia with prosciutto butter. I can’t remember the names of the pasta dishes we got, but they were absolutely delicious. The pasta is made fresh daily, and the quality is phenomenal. The staff was extremely knowledgeable of the menu, and very helpful with making recommendations. Our waitress Tess was amazing, and provided excellent service. We cannot wait to come back!
