Fishing (and hunting but that's not what I do) stuff, great selection and prices. Knowledgeable owner and very helpful. Highly recommend. Just returned to Michigan and some of his items were comparable to the local Walmart. Probably not everything, but the stuff I bought was.

This is the area that greats you up top of the Wawa lake with steps that descend down to the beach front.Great plaques with informative history snippets of Wawa.

Drove out of our way to visit what we thought would be a quaint trading post, maybe some wawa T-shirts and neat things to look at. I dont know why it's advertised as a trading post, because it's not. It's a live bait and tackle store only. If that's what you're looking for than it's a great, but a waste of time if you're looking for a trading post.

We read the review to go to this place to get our baits and accessories before heading to our cabin. We drove and passed by a few times as we didn’t see their sign. Their sign was not big on the window. The store has a sign called Beachfront Trading post. It is across the street it was the Lion's beachfront heritage park. We got our different baits, tackles and fishing tips from Kyle. He is super nice and helpful. The price is reasonable too. The store opens at 6am.I definitely recommend to check out this store if you need fishing, camping, hunting and souvenirs items.

Friend just purchased 25 doz. Large minnows and said they were the best minnows that he has received in almost 20 years of doing business with this establishment through 3 owners. Owner made special attempt to assure that they were packaged properly and would be kept cool enough to survive a late flight into the lake. Obviously takes great pride in his work. Will definitely use this shop in future trips!! And to the lady poster who earlier had a problem with the fact that they didn't have T-shirts... it's a BAIT SHOP lady!!! You might want to check Kohls or Macy's in the mall at Sualt Ste Marie. But for good and properly prepared live bait, you cannot go wrong! Thanks, Bob Abbs

Fantastic place to stop for quality equipment, fair prices, and great staff. Kyle and his wife Kim pointed us toward some local fishing spots and beautiful areas. Their knowledge of local history is a definite bonus!
