I went to see Dr. McCuaig with my Father in his 80tis.The first visit was good, Dr. was smiling, helpful, but the next visits were not so pleasant.Dr. was rude, impatient and behave like he is the only optometrist in town.Me and my Father were not impressed by his behaviour.

My mom just went in for cataract surgery for both eyes. She suffers from FibromyaIgia, anxiety and is very vulnerable. I understand that our system is fast/broken and it is like an assembly line of patients but I do want to give a heads up if you are taking your elderly and vulnerable parent to get this done. My mom was completely delirious afterwards. She was at the door and she could not open it, she was making no sense and I ran to get her so she wouldn't fall. Once I got her home she did fall and she does not remember at all. Her eyes hurt so badly and she took codeine. I stayed until she was stable. The next day I called to check in and she had been throwing up all night so I called an ambulance and she stayed for 8 hours. Once we left she was back to normal. Extremely scary. We went to another eye doctor who said she reacted to the ativan/lorezepam that they put under the tongue for anxiety. When I called about it they just said they are not a hospital so she could not stay. Super scary and disappointing. My mom said she was nervous and that Dr. M. was very short and mean to her in the surgery about remaining still. Elderly/vulnerable humans need more care/mindfulness/kindness and support in our healthcare system. I really hope it changes. I am writing this to create awareness for others in hopes that this won't happen again. I called to talk to Dr.M. and they told me to call back at 3:30 and the office was closed.

I have been seeing Dr. McCauig for several years now and he is the ultimate professional. He does an excellent job of explaining things and answering all my questions.

My Wife Sue recently had two cataracts removed --- although not a pleasant procedure her experience with Dr McCuaig was nothing but positive...a very pleasant mannered professional person. Thank you sir.

I have known Dr.B.McCuaig, Ophthalmologist, since approx.1999/2000ish via my ex work mode; before he more recently started helping my aging parents with their vision issues and required tests. He is always interested in showing, comparing and discussing test results with us, for the betterment of health and well-being. A+

I had to write this review to express how fortunate I am to have Dr. Brad McCuaig as my Ophthalmologist. Yesterday my cataract surgery went quite smooth and what a improvement it made. I felt most comfortable and confident with Dr. McCuaig and the staff. Despite his busy schedule, Dr. McCuaig does take the time to briefly answer any concerns.

Dr. Brad Mcquaig is an excellent surgeon.An administrator for the cancer ward at Grand River hospital suggested that he was clearly one of the best eye surgeons. I am so happy to have taken her advice. He also performed surgery on my brothers left and right eyes with great success.
