Danielle is an embodiment of soul, grace, love and light. Her classes are amazing for virtual! She helps provide you with alternatives to certain positions, listens to you during class when you have questions, she sets the mood with her affirmations and her story telling. Super welcoming when you have your kids present and the classes are open to dropping in late if need be. Her vibe is everything!

Danielle is a wonderful yoga teacher. She is full of insight and wisdom and her classes are enjoyable for the mind and body. She also has a great clothing line of sustainable and responsible yoga clothes for the revolutionaries.

I took online yin classes with Danielle and Love Light Yoga had a fantastic experience! Danielle holds such a beautiful space for students to relax and go deep into their bodies and spirits. Being in class with a group of other yogis felt supportive, inspiring and motivating. You can truly feel Danielle's care for each student and her deep admiration for every person who shows up. She gives permission to do what feels best in one's body, while also providing expert guidance and frameworks for each shape and movement she offers. In this stressful time of staying home and feeling isolated or frightened about covid-19, a practice like this is deeply calming and nourishing for the nervous system and helps build internal resilience.

i always look forward to a class with Danielle. she is very in-tuned with the human body with extensive knowledge and study of how the mind connects with body, and how it relates to how and what you are feeling in your body - as she always says your issues are in your (muscle) tissues!" and I can't agree with her more. her classes are very light-hearted and relaxing as she relates stories and experiences from her past and present day

Danielle is a fabulous yin teacher! I really enjoy her humour and authenticity, the consistent reminders to take deep breathes, and the encouragement to explore the poses in ways that feel best for our bodies. I also highly recommend her black tights ;)

2017: I've been following Danielle's yoga for quite some time now. What I love about her brand of teaching is that she is grounded in critical theory and shows us how yoga principals can live outside the studio as a vehicle for social change by teaching inclusively (for diverse bodies); kindly, by creating space emotional shifts; and holding us to a higher ethic. I LOVE this! But from a health and wellness perspective, I have found Yin yoga paramount in my healing journey, for both my body and brain (TBI).She offers one-on-one Assisted Yin sessions that are so amazing, I have come to firmly believe that everyone - at all levels of yoga - can use Yin yoga to further their practice. If you haven't had long holds with assists, you just haven't lived. I do not hesitate to recommend Danielle Hoogenboom, and I look forward to a life-long journey with her.Update April 19/20: I've been taking Danielle's online live sessions, both the group ones and some privates, and man, I wouldn't have thought that I would like them this much. She tailors the asana for you, which is different playing a video, and after the group classes, you get the recording, which is sweet! These have been the best thing for me during Covid-19 because working from home, such long hours is wrecking my body and my stress level is intense. Thanks so much for pivoting so well, Danielle! The world just needs more Yin yoga always, and at this time especially!

Danielle is a passionate, determined, inspiring yoga teacher, yoga wear designer, and powerful voice for social and environmental injustices. I first met Danielle when I attended her workshop on yoga and social activism about 10 years ago, and then took her yin classes. She is still one of my favourite teachers! She also organizes rad reggae yoga nights and Jamaican yoga retreats. She's a powerhouse with a heart of gold!!
