Decided to visit wawa’s fine dining with a beautiful view, visiting all the way from Ottawa. This was the Most disgusting expensive food I’ve ever tasted. Service, was terrible. Unsanitary, Hair was in my food, Dead bugs on windowsill. Greasy, salty, oily. Couldn’t bring myself to eat more than a bite. What a waste of 60$ and hour and a half I waited to get the food.

Our Student of the month" requested the best restaurant in Wawa and we were not disappointed.Location is right on top a hill right outside the town with a beautiful view of the river. The patio overlooks it although it was not open during our visit. The inside of the restaurant was tastefully decorated with all sorts of great antiques and photos from Trinidad. We also didn't have a reservation as our idea was a bit last minute but the staff were very friendly and found space for us.We did have an under 1 year old with us and even though he was teething and a bit fussy the staff and patrons were so accommodating. Our server was so lovely she even held the baby while so his mother could pay some attention to her delicious dinner. Now the food

We ate dinner here while hiking in the park, and staying in the motel across the road. The food and atmosphere were amazing. As was the view. Our only issue is that we felt rushed to leave after the meal. We were brought the cheque without even being asked if we wanted a drink/dessert/coffee. There were only 2 of us, and we weren't slow in any way nor was it near closing. It was a bit of a disappointing way to end a fantastic meal. It's the only reason I can't give a 5 star review.

Trinidadian hospitality at its best. Family of chefs deliver delicious food and service was impeccable. We felt so welcome and celebrated our 52 years in a beautiful atmosphere

Amazing restaurant and great atmosphere, staff is very friendly and happy.Food is delicious and the use of local ingredients makes it better such as fish from Lake Superior, the influence the cuisine has from the Caribbean makes it even better.Good beers menu and wine, stop by when traveling in northern Ontario.Great view from the patio.

I’m a very patient person and this place tested my patience to the max. We arrived on time for our 6:45 pm reservation and were seated inside by the window. It took probably 10 minutes before we were given a menu. The place was not terribly busy (given Covid restrictions on spacing). Shortly after placing our order we were brought their signature bread and a small bowl of chicken soup. Both very tasty. From this point on everything went downhill. We waited until 8:45 before we received our main course. At least seven other people who arrived and ordered after us received their mains before us. By the time our food came I was so upset that you could have served me the finest meal in the world and I still wouldn’t have enjoyed it. Despite mentioning the situation to the waitress their lack of service was not acknowledged. In any other establishment you would have received at least your drinks on the house to help ease the frustration. The food was okay, and like I said it probably would have tasted better if I hadn’t such a bad taste in my mouth before it arrived. In short, if you don’t have 2 hours to waste in a restaurant don’t bother stopping. (As you can see from the photos I did manage to watch the sunset over the two hours.)

A shining light of a restaurant during a long road trip. Beautiful, clean and the most lovely staff. Docked a star for lack of gluten free options — my salad with chicken and a drink came to $40 with tip, whereas my friend paid half that. That being said, I would still revisit in a heartbeat.

My husband and I ate dinner here on a windy, rainy night. It was perfect because it provided such a cozy atmosphere- very rustic. Windows looking out onto endless trees, cute little gazebo and what looked like a garden. Anyway, this is one of the most eclectic menus I have ever seen! I was impressed by the menu and pleasantly surprised. There is something on the menu for everyone- even the most picky eaters. The staff was amazing - so friendly and sweet. My husband and I were given a complimentary minestrone soup... and it was delicious!! I ate the seafood fettuccini and it was the best I've ever had. We will definitely revisit this charming little place again!

On the advice of our overnight host we looked forward to overlooking the river while sampling some locally caught fresh fish.Upon our arrival we were told we were not able to sit on the deck and were ushered to the smallest table in the dinning room. Our picturesque view of an abandoned cardboard box just outside the window was partially obscured by a blind that would not retract. My wife and I ordered drinks and dinner while counting cobwebs on the ceiling. Our cold canned vegetable soup was a treat, the main dishes were good other than the potatoes being cold and the fillets were riddled with bones. I believe fresh fish is all about the preparation…We were ignored for 10 minutes while our plates sat on the table, then after the plates were taken, we waited another 8 minutes to receive the bill with no offer or option for a desert. I actually suggested to my wife we attempt a dine and dash, at least that way we’re assured of someone chasing us for the bill.Save your money and check out the Viking downtown Wawa, much warmer food, backed with friendly service. My 2 cents
