This was my first time at Salon Cyan and my first 'big change' haircut. My stylist was Sara and she totally rocks!! She's super knowledgeable, understanding, and just super rad. She specializes in wolf cuts (what I got), so I trusted her the entire process. I've never felt so empowered by a hair cut. She understood that my hair has a bit of texture and asked my questions throughout the cut and styling. I cannot stop smiling at my hair.

Oh my goodness! Where to start! Salon Cyan has been my go to salon for the past 10 years. I’ve had my hair professionally done for TV shows I worked on in LA, Toronto, and Vancouver and Mel at Salon Cyan is simply the best stylist I’ve ever worked with! I won’t trust anyone else with my hair ever again. When I leave Salon Cyan, I feel like a million bucks! The atmosphere is relaxing and fun! The staff are all so friendly and talented. Been coming here for years and years. Steph is amazing. She really knows how to both have an artistic eye but also tells you the practical outcomes and potential work involved in maintaining the look you want. For example she can tell you how the colour will fade, how much work and styling a specific cut will likely need. Steph also is great at evaluating clients on a case by case basis and assessing their specific hair type and lifestyle. Everyone is really nice at this place. I find the products are reasonably priced.

I love my cut and high/lowlights. All my gray framed my face and the rest of my head was a dull, heavy brown. Jagoda matched my gray PERFECTLY, not only in colour but also the chunky natural way my real grey had grown in. It’s funky but looks natural at the same time. My cut suits my face, is easy to style and I can wear it quietly or big and loud. ❤️ This salon is friendly and welcoming without the pretentiousness one finds at other art house salons. Brilliant and talented Highly recommend.

I am a newcomer to Canada and I was scared to get my hair cut for the first time here. I did a lot of research and looked at reviews, and I found this salon's reviews very good. They directed me to Emily for my haircut. Despite my fears, I'm so glad I went! Emily is both very kind and very talented. Her greeting, haircut, and care were all very good. Sara is an artist.She has an elevated understanding of haircutting and is extremely skilled in adapting styles to fit your unique face shape, features, and hair texture.Sara's approach to hair is fresh and modern, so I never have to feel worried about leaving with a heavily gendered version of the style I originally wanted. If you're looking for someone you can trust with an androgynous cut, she's your gal. I feel comfortable going to Salon Cyan and see it as an LGBTQ+ safe place - which can be hard to find with haircutting and styling.Most recently, after a few sessions of getting familiar, I've been able to go to Sara and give her creative freedom with my hair and I always leave beyond happy.Additionally, the service comes with a hair wash in a massage chair, and her assistant Iris is not only incredibly sweet but she gives a mean scalp massage!Thank you, all my love! :)
