Whispering Hearts Horse Rescue

I had the pleasure of meeting Brenda this evening and she was a absolute pleasure to speak with!I am happy to move forward with a adoption through her and I am happy to give her a 5 star rating!Loves her animals and truly cares for thenwell being of them all!

Found a miniature horse on side of road by lyndoch, it was in very bad condition.Called Norfolk police, who gave me couple numbers to call. There was no one to help, I got the number for Whispering hearts from friend. After 3 hrs standing with this poor unkept horse, that need immediate help. The people from Whispering Hearts Horse Retreat, a me in 45 minutes to get her. They were very helpful, very caring. They took her to their place were ,she got the care she needed. The owners who were down the street not once came to get her. I hope they found her a very happy home to live the rest of her life comfortable.

VERY POOR COMMUNICATION COURTESIES! Did not reply to my email request sent thru their site. They did reply to my FB messenger message asking for more information regarding my gelding I needed help to rehome. Once given more and more information (including pictures and videos) I received no more communication from them...Brenda(?). The common courtesy of a reply as no thank you

A great rescue that does things right!

I have never seen 2 people more dedicated to helping the animals in their care. Brenda and Dave Thompson of Whispering Hearts Horse Rescue have wings that only the horses can see, they are true Angels to the many souls that live on their facility. The herd lives as horses should: outdoors, running free. Happy, healthy, plump and at peace. They have shelter, blankets when needed, and a professional staff tending their health and needs. All animals should be so lucky.

We visited Whispering Hearts Rescue looking to adopt a horse. Brenda and her staff listened to our needs and wants and paired us with a beautiful soul. Because they are there for all the reasons. Helping all animals that have been abused.And if people can help to donate to pay for all there expenses. Brenda and her family pay everything out of there pockets. And the sales that are donated to the store shack.

Through dedicated volunteers, and their love for the horses, they have made a safe and beautiful haven for those horses. We return every year for the annual fund raiser yard sale. This itself seems to grow, into a larger event every year.

My goddaughter has been riding for years. For her birthday this year, I sponsored a horse. We were told we could visit. I have contacted them in every way imaginable and they ignored me. Very disappointed in them. UPDATE: The owner has replied that I received a call, that is not true. I have messaged them every couple of weeks since September and I am being ghosted. If you take donations and offer visits, you should follow through. I was happy to donate for 6 months, I'm irritated because my goddaughter who rides and adores horses, was looking forward to meeting Zeus.

Well it's not quite I expected. They are wall to wall horses and there adoption process is extremely unrealistic. If you cannot trust once you have done your job in saving a horset that means you cannot let go .I was interested in 2 horses they had along time but even once you have adopted you cannot make any choices !! I do understand no breeding in some cases but tell someone they cannot have foal with horse that is now yours is not right.I saw horses standing in deep mud covered in flies and they stay 24 / 7 even in winter and only eat hay from what I was told. Well I would tell people don't waste your time going .Go help.something that really needs your help , there are alot of horses on meat trucks and sales hat need a home .
