Hidden gem tucked away adjacent to the Annapolis Royal library, the Brown Dog offers a brilliant pub-style breakfast with *actual* thick sliced bacon, homemade sausage, and seasoned potatoes. Burgers are just as well executed for the lunch crowd. Clearly the quality of the ingredients matters to these folks, as does expert preparation. Absolutely worth many repeated visits!

This spot offers lots of options for those on the run. Sandwiches are made to order. The fudge squares are amazing!Seating is available for eating in. It's located on the back side of the Academy building. You enter through the library entrance doors.There is street parking as well as some spots in the parking lot. Next time we'll try some breakfast options.

Was in this very special part of the province a couple weekends ago and Brown Dog Kitchen was recommended by a local for breakfast. The food was superb and the staff were just lovely; the building is beyond quaint" in the nicest way. Thank you very much for a wonderful dining experience."

Found this place from Google, and it turned out to be a great little hole in the wall! We came in with 6 people, and there was just one person cooking, so we were expecting the food to take a bit longer but it was only 20-30 minutes! The food was made from fresh, quality ingredients, that were cooked to order. All of the meals were very tasty and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Was passing through the area and found the Brown Dog Kitchen for breakfast. My company and I had the breakfast sandwich with avocado, and also the breakfast plate. Both were exceptionally excellent, especially the wood smoked bacon with the extra crisp as asked was perfect. Very cute area utilizing the town’s old school but modern menu and lovely staff. Great breakfast spot!! Thanks

This place is so sooo good. The breakfast is amazing. The service is great. Hidden gem for sure. Make sure you get an oat bar. Or two so your husband can have a bite of one.

This new restaurant in Annapolis Royal came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. We had an excellent early breakfast with friendly service. The lunch menu looks excellent and we'll be back.

Really, really tasty fresh food. Large portion of breakfast and I had to take half of it home because I wasn’t leaving it.Best butter tarts I’ve ever eaten, yes plural! tarts because I ate both I took home.

I hate to do this to a small town restaurant, but I have to. First off the gentleman at the front was a pleasure to deal with very friendly and charismatic. We ordered two currys and the and a huevero ranchero. It was a long wait for the food and when it came out it looked good. The curry honestly was the worst most bland curry I have ever eaten. My daughters curry was cold and much like mine bland. My wife’s breakfast was not up to par either, I won’t go on but will say this, the food tasted microwaved and rushed definitely lacking love or pride. I would not recommend this place at all
