Mod Uncorked Consignment

My favourite consignment shop in Edmonton! Bright, clean, well curated, and the staff are friendly and fun :) I love that they carry vintage clothing too and I've found some real gems here.

Had an absolute terrible experience going in to this store. Myself and a couple of my girlfriends went into the store a couple weekends ago. To start neither of the ladies there said a word to us when we entered, no acknowledgment, as we walked around the store still no acknowledgment. Other people entered the store and some were welcomed, some weren't. Maybe we didn't look sophisticated enough for their liking. We asked a few questions and they weren't very helpful they kind of turned their nose to us.If you want to have a warm inviting spot to shop consignment then this is definitely not the place.

Let me start with saying I absolutely adore the owner, Limor. From how she interacts with her customers, what she curates, to how she runs her shop. I have consigned at every shop that has opened in the Old Strathcona area for the past 15ish years and Mod's consignment process is by far the easiest for the consignor. Drop in, she sorts, you take the no's back, she logs the yes items. Limor and her team do what they can to get your item in tip top selling condition. Whether that is steaming, cleaning, or some mending. At two other consignment shops nearby, there would be a fee for this. Mod also operates their own website and uses Poshmark for an online platform to sell your items.The new shop (from their old 124 st location) is so wide and open. Lots of space to look around easily and everything is logically organized. The new staff she has hired (2023) are very welcoming. There are unique and great pieces to be found throughout the shop with lots of new items coming in very frequently.Lastly, but probably what endeared me to the shop early on, was that Limor remembers details about you as a person when you come in, even if she has just met you a couple times. Mod Uncorked is an incredible consignment shop on Ritchie on the west side of 99 Street. It's a bit of the beaten path for those that are Whyte Ave pedestrians but it's well worth the visit.Trendy styles in a very hip space. It ranks up there for women's latest fashion trends. They have lots of stock.And for the men...great news. We have a new store for consignment in town...FINALLY! Some great finds here. Not as much as the women but a decent amount nevertheless.My girlfriend and I will be back for certain!

A bunch of bullies. I was in the fitting room and a customer went into the store to bring some clothes. The lady behind the counter was pretty loud and condescending when she told the girl which clothes were sellable and which ones weren’t. Felt bad for the customer because she sounded pretty embarrassed and anxious. She left to get something from her car, and I listened to the 2 women behind the counter saying “This is just stale as f—-“ and “This is the most disgusting pile of s—- I’ve ever seen.” The customer came back and asked if she can wait in the store until they finished sorting but they pretty much kicked her out. I left the fitting room because I felt so uncomfortable, but even while I was in front of them waiting for my friend to finish up, the 2 women still made comments about the clothes and the customer. I understand that clothes need to be cleaned and in good condition when consigning, but what I don’t get is why they thought they can act holier than thou and treat a customer in a condescending manner when the clothes they were selling and wearing weren’t amazing. Do they expect brand new clothes in a consignment store? Anyway, not comfortable supporting a business that treats its customers that way.

Mod Uncorked has been my favourite consignment shop since I first discovered them almost three years ago. They are always a pleasure to work with and support my personal goals around sustainable fashion. Highly recommend!!

Super cute place - it’s bright and clean, plus the lady who runs it is really friendly! You can tell she loves fashion and will give you honest opinions on what looks good. I’ve definitely found some good pieces here. Some of the prices can be kinda steep, but that’s because a lot of the pieces are designer or vintage, and the items are kept in great condition.

Great location, great artwork.I never walk out empty handed. Especially when I found a grey paisley blazer I didn’t think I needed.

Love this shop! Consigning experience is easy. The owner and staff are great. There is always something new we manage to find every time we go there and we go often!
