Aurelia gave me the best cut I’ve had in the last two years!:) the little head massage was great nearly put me to sleep! And the hair style came out fantastic. I can’t thank her enough !!! It’s a very enjoyable time she’s very gentle and did it in a timely manner. Looking forwards to booking with her again soon.

This salon was recommended to me by friends and I have always been happy with both hair styling and esthetics. The staff are friendly, lots of fun and professional. I've now been a customer for over 5 years. Both Aveda and Davines products are outstanding and the staff is well trained to make suggestions. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love The Ginger Room, everyone there is amazing, I always feel at home there. I just saw Ari today and she did an ombré hair colour for me and I’m so happy with it, she did an amazing job! I only get my hair cut and coloured here, unless I’m not in town and even then sometimes I wait till I get back to town.

The first time I went to the ginger room I had a really great experience, I left loving my haircut and found the stylist very nice. I have return two times since and both times have been very disappointed. The second time I went I was recommended very expensive products that turned out to be the exact opposite of when my hair needed. And the third time I went the stylist butchered my wavy hair with thinning shears. My hair in now in the worst condition it has been in in over 2 years. And looks like a scraggly mess. I had requested a light trim as I was trying to grow my hair out. And now I am in worse shape then when I started. I regret getting my hair done here.

My appointment was cancelled once I showed up because the stylist felt she couldn’t do what I wanted (which was simply blond highlights, but she was new & so I can understand she felt inexperienced). However I had asked in booking the appointment if booking in with a new stylist would be an issue, which I was told would not. My concern is how very poorly I was treated by the manager. She was very unapologetic and rude. I understand she was aiming to protect the stylist whom I could tell was very nervous…I certainly have compassion for this and this wasn’t my issue with the experience. Overall, I left feeling embarrassed (as there were other customers in the salon and I had to leave after the consultation), dismissed & like I was a burden.

I had a great experience at The Ginger Room recently. Gracie was my stylist and she did an amazing job with highlights/lowlights. I like how she took her time to go a great job, was super relaxed, and easy to talk to. And the salon is a lovely place to hang out while waiting for your hair to process. I left with my hair looking better than it has in a very long time. Thank you Gracie!

I have been going to The Ginger Room for a few years. I have moved off-island, but look forward to an appointment with Jo. I have wavy/curly hair which she cuts into a great asymmetrical and as it grows out, she continues to help it look fabulous. She is informative, suggests product, and pleasant. Highly recommend.

My hair was absolutely destroyed when I arrived. Krista did a repair treatment along with a cut and I can honestly say my hair feels and looks a million times better then what it was before. Not only was she clearly skilled but she’s super sweet and has amazing customer service, I highly recommend getting your hair done by her, she is a gem!
