By far the best bakery I've been to in Edmonton.Food is always made fresh and takes amazing (I recommend the bifana of Portuguese sandwich)Espresso is top quality and the baked goods are freshly made.The main lady working there is amazing, she can seem a bit grumpy on some days but working on 118 it's hard to blame her

This eatery in a bakery is a gem. A Portuguese-based menu offers tasty food with generous portions and incredibly affordable prices. Of course there is the bakery display too. I had the Portuguese chorizo, ham, cheese, pepper, lettuce on a bun $6.50. My wife had the BLT on a bagel. She loved it.

Popular Bakery has it’s name cut out for it, on the corner with it’s big bold black sign with 3 different names making it super confusing for any newbies out here. I didn’t quite know what to expect walking in, if it was more of a takeout bakery style or a sit down and enjoy sandwich and chicken eatery? Well, we got to try it out and 100% more of a take out shop than anything else.Similar setup to Handy with breads and desserts displayed on the center glass counter display with a few shelves on the side acting as a mini market, the backboard had a few food food items but nothing special. The space is roomier with plenty of seating, but with a feeling of more of a concrete room as opposed to being more welcoming as Handy.We left with a few Portuguese tarts and they were cold? She didn’t offer to warm them up or anything either, so my cold tarts were pretty disappointing. Though the filling did taste really good. Maybe we need to visit again on a busier peak time for some better service? Not in a rush to try this place again though.

If you like Nando's chicken this is the place to go this is authentic Portuguese style PD PD BBQ chicken Nando's is too large chain process for me and I know I'm Portuguese this place offers a good seating area they just replaced all the old chairs with new chairs busy with lots of culture pastries are exceptional fresh bread Portuguese buns all ready to be ordered they also offer a lunch menu light and heavier meals provided what soups sandwiches 1/2 chicken or entrees stop in you won't be a disappointed

Great fresh sandwiches and very tasty. Soup was only warm and didn’t taste homemade. Super friendly staff. Great selections of deli, breads etc.

Lovely little hole in the wall. If you're looking for authentic Portuguese, look no further. The pastries are to die for!

This Portuguese bakery/deli makes excellent baked goods as well as pretty good panini sandwiches. There is limited seating which helps make it attractive in that the conversations do not interfere with other people's conversations. I would not call it an intimate atmosphere but it is inviting and comfortable if you are looking for a coffee and perhaps a sandwich or something sweet.

Great chicken, the right amount of spicy and great selection of house made pastries. Soft serve in the Summer.
