We had never been here before, just visiting family from out of town. We were looking for breakfast.The menu choices were limited for breakfast (two choices-one regular breakfast choice and 4 variety of Benedict-counts as 1 “choice”). We get it, it’s Covid period-long weekend 2021, smaller menus. Because of the small menu we expected excellent food (seemed fair). The size was good, not too big, the eggs were good/fair along with the meat. The potatoes were okay but the toast and English muffin were very dry, very little butter and extremely toasted. The fruit also didn’t seem overly fresh. The flavours were bland…and we weren’t offered salt and pepper, just ketchup. There was also no offer to refill our coffee or beer (11:30am-12:30pm)Will not return.

We recently stopped in for an afternoon cocktail. The atmosphere was very welcoming and made our afternoon far more enjoyable. Their menu is on the smaller side but the food coming out looked good. Their cocktail and drink menu had a good variety of drinks to suit just about any taste.

Great + fast service, a delish spicy Caesar especially if you like oysters, sweet peach marg, and great fish tacos! Had a great time here on the patio

This place was great. I loved the seating area and the drinks were amazing. The waiters were very kind and gave us great recommendations for what to try. This place even had the best burger I've ever had. If you ever go to Kingston you should definitely go to Union Kitchen + Cocktails.

Have been a few times for mostly dinner but lunch too. Fish tacos are very good but very messy (fair warning for those out on a date!). Mussels were delicious. Friends rave about the gnocchi and the Union salad. I finally tried the Wagyu burger and the meat was incredible, the bun wax perfect, toppings amazing (had the goat). A friend had the steak frites and said the fries were soggy because the steak is served on top. There should be something on the menu for everyone but check it online if you’re not sure.The restaurant is mostly very dark, but we love the front window booth for a group as it’s bright and cozy. Service is always friendly and helpful with the menu but sometimes lacking on the table clearing (important with a big group, several courses and beverages).We will be back.

We went here from brunch with so.e friends that were coming from out of town.My partner ordered the salmon benedict and I ordered the spinach benedit. The food was served quickly and it was very delicious. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to anyone else looking for a great brunch/dinner spot!

Was really looking forward to this spot but unfortunately had a poor experience. Came for a Sunday brunch which is obviously a busy time, but our experience couldn't be excused to business alone. Wait time for 3 breakfast dishes was 50 minutes. When we asked our server for an update, we were met with hostility and attitude from the waitress, who said oh nobody told you? our kitchen is backed up and it'll be another 20 minutes

Appetizers all around! Everything was fresh and delish! Charcuterie, fish tacos, shrimp cocktail and zucchini chips for the table followed by cheesecakes and crème brûlée for dessert. Service was amazing! Thanks Eilish for the great recommendations we will be back!

Visited 3rd of December, 2022. My friends and I sat at the bar. The holiday seasonal cocktails were delicious: I had the Chai Martini and a second one called something like “Lemon Meringue”, I believe. I also had two of each of their four different market price oysters. Our bartenders were swamped but appeared so chill, which kept us at ease and left us in cool admiration of their skills. Thank you Union for ensuring our time in Kingston was memorable for all the right reasons!

This is one of the most underrated spots in Kingston for food. Their drink menu is unique and delicious but the food is even better. It’s obvious a lot of effort has gone into their menu and the flavour combinations are incredible. The presentation & quality of the food was amazing, definitely a must try!
