Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable people working here and around Sandon. Don't hesitate to stop in and get some treats!

I have been a long time Sandon lover since very small. I got the opportunity to work in such a beautiful piece of leftover history last year in 2019 from May to Oct. I was to work this year but due to covid it just couldn’t be. But first and foremost I want everyone to know what a delight it was to get the opportunity to learn all there is about Sandon. To teach others of the history through guided tours as well as working the gift shop and cafe. This year when I came to visit I could see that they really stepped up in making sure the public would be able to enjoy and stay safe. Signs were posted sanitizer in both the prospectors pick and powerhouse. What Sandon really does need is for all to come together and help build it up to make it a place to cherish for always. I’ve seen the hard work and also have done the hard work with others to keep it going. It’s not easy so please if you can donate to restorations of all the buildings please do so. Lots of books knick knacks and various things from the old electrical and mining days. Madison is awesome and chalked full of knowledge. Take lots of pics. Prices are equative to any book or antique store plus there's t-shirts hoodies and cold drinks and snacks. Cudos to this awesome little store in the mountains

Beautiful place with an intriguing history. Cared for by a few friendly and caring families. Stop in to learn a bit or to just grab a coffee and lunch. The same group offers a few campsites in the area (with firewood included) so you can spend a quiet night right in town as well!

interesting place to stop in sanden. They have many things on display in the back, they also have antiques for sale as well as a little cafe inside! I was very surprised to see an old line of type machine used by printers back in the 1950s and '60s! So much to see in this place not to be missed when you go to Sandon!
