Vandermeer Nursery & Garden Centre

Vandemeer is such a great place to visit. I love browsing and looking at all the beautiful selection and varieties of plants and more that they carry. We went the other day to buy a large cactus (which was a great price) and duckweed for our tanks. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions. We will definitely be back.

Great big nursery, variety of options, prices r big higher to other places, beautifully designed indoor, recommended for visit.

The plants are pricey but you get what you pay for IMO. I love this nursery, it’s my happy place. They have a huge selection every year and the quality of their nursery is the best in Durham region. My husband loves to visit the koi fish at the back for a calming experience. I can’t really think of a flower or plant I bought there that didn’t do well - maybe a few?

Loved to death. They have a huge selection on aqua plants, shrubs, trees,vegetable seedings and flowers. Etc.. you name it. you could find almost everything you needed here. Visit every year and each time it would surprise me a little bit more. If you like me that always searching for new and rare plants make sure give them a call before visit. Some of their items sells quick, save you a trip if you live far. You could also ask to reserved, if the plant is available at the time of your call. The staffs are very friendly and knowledgeable both over the phone or in person. So surely you will get the help you needed.

How cool is this place?! Turtles, fish, birds, flowers, succulents, pots, garden tools, seeds and informational posters all under one roof. I'm not a horticulture / botany enthusiast but this place really got me excited about everything plants!Without sounding too much like a cheesy infomercial, I visited this place with my kids/wife yesterday expecting it to be like every other run of the mill greenhouse, but it's got a tonne of charm and expertise. I suspect every plant in the world might be availible here.Specifically, we asked the staff to help us with some questions related to succulents and snap dragons. They were able to answer both questions and more. Very informed group.We even had that funny thing happen at the check out where a specimen doesn't have a price tag. Instead of the usual let me phone ten managers

I’ve bought multiple plants here on different occasions. Was referred to by a friend. EVERY SINGLE ONE of the plants I bought here, are thriving!! They really know how to take care of their plants and it shows. I’ll never buy from a regular store again. I’m a dedicated customer now.

This is THE place to shop. Not only do they have the best selection they have an amazing warranty and they don’t question you as to how you cared for the product like was done at another nursery. If you are spending money on trees you obviously don’t want them to die, I will only shop here from now on.

The selection is massive. The price is good and overpriced on some stuff. If it's basic stuff maybe your local garden centre is better value. Roses, Hydrangeas and hostas are an amazing selection here. They do have everything though.

Lots of perennials and houseplants to pick from. I got this planter and filled it with some plants I picked out. I like how everything is labeled. It's great for when I'm browsing or for someone who is new at gardening.
