I have been an employee of Royal Marquis for 13 years. As an employee I can say this has been on of the most “family oriented” establishments I have worked at. From fellow staff, managers as well as residents, walking into the home has that warm welcoming feeling.Over the past few years with spirits being broken by our most recent pandemic, the general manager Anne Marie had made sure that this building was top priority, and the safety of the residents as well as staff, had become number one focus. And still continues to do so.With that being said, it makes a huge difference coming to work everyday, knowing that you are valued as an employee at the Royal Marquis.

Essex County Moving has moved residents in to Chartwell Royal Marquis many times and we are always met with polite, welcoming staff. Our clients are excited to start their new chapter here and we are happy to help.

The Royal Marquis is an amazing Retirement Residence. I have worked at this lovely home for 13 years and enjoy coming here every day.The residents are fantastic. My coworkers are compassionate and genuinely care about the residents. The management team works diligently to ensure the residents are supported and engaged. The management team makes sure the residents voices are being heard by having town hall meetings for them. They discuss everything from what type of foods the residents want to eat to what type of activities the residents would like to do. I love working at a Retirement Home that honestly respects and values our residents.

Last week some friends and I were treated to a delicious lunch and a very informative tour by Lou-Ann. I was so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the building and the outstanding accommodations which create a relaxing and warm atmosphere. What an enjoyable afternoon. So happy with the respite care for my mom's knee replacement recovery. I live out of town and after having my mom at the Royal Marquis for a few days I can have peace of mind that she will be treated well after I go back home. Great Staff, clean and well maintained facilities, food is good, the soups are fantastic. The location is great, right of of EC Row and next door to a Tim Hortons and near the mall. The Staff is outstanding, many of them have been with the facility for over 10, 15 years. They are kind and welcoming, even with masks, you can tell they are smiling when they talk.

We've been lucky enough to have a a few loved ones living at the Royal Marquis. A positive experience on all fronts keeps us recommending the Royal Marquis to those we know that are thinking about retirement living. The food is as good as anywhere, the staff on all fronts are welcoming and professional. The building is full of history and adds to the charm.

We visited several retirement homes, but decided on Royal Marquis for a variety of reasons. Our first experience was that the staff was very friendly and knew all of the residents names! Instantly my dad felt comfortable here, as they took personal interest in him and asked questions and chatted with him. They were very professional and we did not feel rushed or pressured at all. The staff has been great at following up with me how my dad is doing here, and really make an extra effort to make residents feel comfortable. The daily checks are great too, they always make time to chat a bit with residents. The food is amazing! Such great options and variety.The restaurant staff remember little things the residents like or always order. This makes it a nice atmosphere for residents.This is an extremely stressful time/change for my dad and us, but the staff and service at Royal Marquis have made this transition easy. My dad has been here for 2 weeks and daily tells me he likes it here! He seems to be thriving in this short time.Special thanks to Lou, Valerie, Jas, and Anne. Hopefully I haven't missed anyone!

Yes You CAN Paint! I have been lucky enough to be welcomed into Chartwell Royal Marquis to teach monthly painting classes with the residents. I thoroughly enjoy the enthusiasm, dedication and consistency I see every month. Gloria Fiacco is the Program Manager and she does such a fantastic job keeping the moral and the participation high. The residents love to be around her.
