Cedars Inn Hotel & Convention Center

Fantastic hotel, stayed there with two kids for 4 days in August. We spent many hours in the wonderful pool, the staff was very responsive in raising or lowering the temperature of the pool according to what we requested. The hotel was clean, quiet, and located within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and responsive. I will definitely come back for another stay!

The service I received when trying to book this hotel was terrible. I booked through Expedia by phone after the ferry home got delayed and I had to make a quick change of plan.I was travelling with my 15 month old daughter so when I booked I confirmed with the agent that there would be a crib in the room. I got a call from the hotel’s reception about half an hour after booking and the agent quizzed me on when I would be checking in which was strange. My partner told me to double check on the crib and the agent told me it would only be available at an additional cost of $28. I told her this was not part of the booking agreement I had made where it was confirmed a crib would be included.The agent transferred me to the manager Diana who inferred I was dishonest and that I would be charged for the room regardless as I was cancelling within 24 hours of booking. I told her I would be cancelling through Expedia. Two hours and four phone calls later, while scrambling to find alternate accommodation that was not intent on ripping me off, I was back on the phone with Diana being told I would not be charged.Charging $28 for a crib is a poor nickel and dime move and treating an honest customer like a liar while causing stress on a young family, then ultimately losing the sale, is one star management for sure.

It’s a small hotel but the service is very friendly and efficient. It only took them maybe 5 minutes to deliver a box of tissue paper when I told them we are out.Swimming pool is definitely a plus. Even though the hot tub is out of order, they heat up the pool for us. The gym is bigger than I expected and clean. The outside of the hotel might not be the greatest but inside is upgraded and nice.They offer Tim Horton breakfast in the morning. Just need to bring the voucher and redeem the food there.

My boyfriend and I came here after a long trip of a ferry and driving here, just to find out they require a credit card to book. We booked in advance, and they tell me through email later that the Visa debit that i paid online with bounced. I phoned and asked if we can just pay when we get there, they said yes. Not a word was mentioned about having a credit card being Mandatory. When we got there, we offered to pay the hotel stay + damage deposit with cash or debit, and they refused us. I even offered to overpay, still refused. We came all the way to Gibsons, and now we have nowhere to stay, because apparently every hotel now requires a credit card. What is wrong with this world??

Absolutely worst hotel. Stole our money, do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel, no such thing as free cancelation even when done in error. horrible policies. I'm sure if I took money from them they would call the police on me I should do the same to them. The manager is a waste of your time and effort.

Great hotel for the price! I typically stay in marriotts or airbnbs but everything was fully booked for the long weekend. This inn was half the price and the room was incredibly spacious. It also came with a breakfast voucher to Tim Hortons included as well. Highly recommended!

It was nice being in a very spacious room, and having a full fridge top freezer was great, but otherwise I don't find that the quality matched the price I paid. The wall mounted lamps were hanging off the wall and missing parts, I wanted to have a bath but there was no stopper for the tub, the bathroom counter had a hard downward lean to it, there were cracked tiles in the shower. The feel of the place could use a little brightening and enlivening.

Nice staff. Quiet hotel. Sauna & gym are great perks. Pool and hot tub too but I didn’t try them as we came in winter.

LOVEEEE this hotel!!! It’s our top choice for value and being close to downtown / restaurants. Heated pool, hot tub, gym, sauna, etc. are all incredible!! (We went swimming in April!)The customer service is great and they have snacks in the lobby!! Complimentary breakfast is Tim Hortons and very generous.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament. The hotel room was clean and fully stocked. All the staff we encountered were friendly. The check-in and check-out process was efficient. We received vouchers for Tim Hortons breakfast for each person in room for each night. We would definitely stay again if we went to Gibsons.
