Old House Notary - T. dale Roberts

I have had many dealings with selling and buying real estate. Working with Dale Roberts Notary has been my worst experience ever! The staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, faxes didn't go thru, emails bouncing back, Dale not having the time of day for a brief conversation, it was a nightmare. The kicker is when I didn't get my monies on time, all because of their incompetency. I would never use them again!

As a first time home buyer I had a lot of questions. Dale was unable/unwilling to answer any of them. He was tardy on every aspect of the sale and on the closing date I had to call their office 3 times to get the paperwork so the sale didn't fall through. I think the only thing worse than Dale was his assistant Tara. She was completely rude, and I had to send back the statement of adjustment 3 times because she couldn't figure out how to do it properly. She eventually sent me a PDF and said to do it myself. Save yourself a whole lot of stress and use a different notary. There is plenty of other ones in town.

Dale has been our Notary since our first home - and has accompanied us through Wills, Estates, Home Buying, Power of Attorney........anything we can work with Dale on is guaranteed to be a less stressful situation. Dale is a calm presence in all sorts of situations, and is a wonderful resource to have on your team. I would recommend him for any services he offers - both value and cost are well worth your consideration.

Such an amazing experience! We dealt with Ashley, she was very helpful and informative and made sure we had all of the information we needed! Jamie was extremely helpful as well! I would suggest anyone to use this business!

Dale Roberts has always been my go to notary since I found him a few years ago. He is always professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend his services wholeheartedly!

Don' waste your time or money. Had to use Dale as a notary for the sale of my house as one of my signee's needed to sign over a zoom call. Both Dale and his staff are very belittling when they speak to you, it was very unpleasant having to deal with them. Dale hardly explained anything to me or my partner as well, who was a first timer for selling real estate. He just made us sign and sign, then left us confused with how little information we received.In the end Dale almost got me into legal trouble by not sending the amount owed for our new house on the final day it was due. All the money was sent to my account and i had to argue with him just to make him partially listen to what i was trying to say about sending it back as the other notary wouldn't give their bank information out to random people such as me.. But Dale was too lazy and kept insisting/ talking over me saying that I should send the money myself. He wouldn't listen to me for a second and even offered to just give the other notaries banking information for me to do it (which is illegal).On top of all that, the notary who we were in contact with out of province had been trying to contact Dale's office for a week prior. It was a battle trying to get documents back and fourth between the two as Dale's office acted as if no one had ever reached out to them, yet our other notary had multiple emails and proof of calls trying to get in contact.It was the worst legal experience i had ever gone through.. PLEASE, save your time and money!!

Dale and the entire staff were fantastic in helping us with a private home sale. They handled everything and were very professional and organized. Highly recommended!

Everything was done to a T as you would expect all legal businesses to operate. Everyone was so sweet and smiling even Molly. I use them to sell my place up in Penticton and I’m going to use them again right now as I’ve sold my house in Courtenay. Thank you for everybody’s being there for me as I am I have not been myself since my husband passed away. Thanks again.

It took ten days to get a simple codicil done. A document of less than 250 words, the number of errors that had to be corrected took at least 6 revisions. Good clerical work with the ability to proofread must be hard to find. I could have typed it myself in ten minutes. I am definitely not going back!
