For the quality of the bikes in comparison to the other rentals around, I’d go elsewhere. You should also make sure that you get accurate hourly pricing on their bikes prior to rental. Ours ended up being twice the cost, despite it saying a specific amount for other like-style rentals. We were offered a “discount or something” on a later rental, but I feel cheated and robbed. If a trike says $13 an hour, I should pay $13 an hour. If it’s double and the attendant neglected to convey accurate pricing, that shouldn’t fall to my surprise.Reply: You full knew I was displeased and told you at return that I should have been made aware of the increase in pricing. For you to say that your suggested discount came unprompted is a full lie. I still think I should be reimbursed for your double charge. Furthermore, I feel it is your responsibility to inform people of the double price.The reason I was given that the “mover trike” was not listed, was because you were awaiting new signage. So again, you are claiming falsities.After these 2 lies, I would implore others to go elsewhere I. Order to receive honest upfront service.

Rental was fast and uncomplicated. We rented 2 tandems which, despite the mass of people, was not a problem. The bikes were in decent condition. Helmets are available but sizes are limited so it can be a bit of a search to find one that fits right.

Love this bike rental place! We rented from here two times during our stay. I regret I didn’t catch the man’s name who runs it but he is delightful and we enjoyed talking to him. He did an amazing job at making sure we were informed about the road closure. He was patient with my son when he wanted to ride a trike, letting him take it for a spin! Next time we go to the island, we’ll be renting from here again! Thanks for the great service!

Super convenient while staying at the hotel. Rented bikes daily and pricing was reasonable compared to other places. The guys working were always so friendly and helpful!

Cayce and his team are the best! I have visited the island for many years and I believe this rental shop is ranked # 1! For starters, you are treated like a valued customer and not just another tourist. After two years he remembered my family and it was like seeing an old friend. Awesome craftsmanship...we had issues with our own bikes and took them to Cayce. I knew they would be fixed right and in fact they worked better than ever. I appreciate the knowledge shared...we were given great recommendations and tips about the island from his team. We just can't wait to make a return trip in the spring. My kids talk about that experience often and how special we all felt after working with the team. They are small but mighty and I hope you visit this site and see what makes it worthwhile!

We didn't have the best experience here. I made sure we were back in under two hours but we were told that we had come back 2 minutes late and had to pay for an additional 1/4 hour (over $20 on 5 bikes). The employee working said he wasn't able to make any changes to the charge once the credit card had been run and he wasn't willing to do anything else to make it right.

Bikes were great n well maintained. We rented them for 24hour and it was 90$ , thought little expensive

Great service! Island House Bike Rental provided bikes to my family of (3) on two different days. Very efficient process, vast inventory of well working bikes for most ages and great customer service.

The cheapest on the island bar one that has much sketchier reviews (For only 1 dollar an hour difference anyway). The bikes are functional and well maintained from what I saw. They answered any questions and were very friendly the entire time. We got a single speed which was the perfect speed for going around the island (maybe not for the steeper hills further inland). Overall amazing experience.

We rented a tandem bike from Island House and it couldn’t have been easier! Friendly employees, nice equipment, and an nice location not right in the middle of the madness. We’ll be renting again when we make it back to Mackinac!
