Executive Airport Plaza - Lot #1361

Terrible!!! Room door lock was broken, the shower had hair on the walls and there were spider webs up in the corners of the ceilings.

This property looked better in the pictures. There are other locations around the greater Vancouver area and I believe the pictures of the suite I rented actually belonged to the downtown Vancouver location and not the Richmond location that we booked. I prefer if hotels post real photos. Even the picture of the outside of the hotel online is not accurate and clearly was from better days or photoshopped.We were a late check in after a long day of travel to get there and the room we got was horrible. It looked like something straight out of the Shining.The AC didn't work and it was horribly hot and humid out due to the wildfires and heat wave. We requested to move to a better room and one of the staff even said to always ask for the tower. The tower was indeed better and the staff were nice and accommodating in moving us over. It took about an hour longer to get situated, which was tough being there for business and having to deal with that late of room moves and getting up early. The new room was way better but still just ok in hotel standards. The AC worked better but was still only ok.The restaurant had a very limited menu so we didn't eat there. Tables were left dirty with a few flies here and there even though it wasn't busy and there were more than enough staff members.If you stay here make sure you request the tower. DO NOT go into the other building which you take through the breeze way. Besides it being a crazy maze to the underground parking it's just a down right grungy and legit terrifying place. I think that is where the Expedia bookings go automatically because of the discount.Apparently the pilots and the crew stay in the tower but honestly that even surprises me. The new room was more in line with what I thought I booked but still nothing like the pictures online.What's good? The location. Great location for walking. Staff was great but we won't go back. Hotel needs a lot of TLC.
