Central Park Bandstand
The octoganal shaped bandstand was first erected in 1891 and dedicated to the picnic grounds in Central Park for public enjoyment. Unfortunately, the original was destroyed by mother nature in 1932. This replica was reconstructed in 1996 in the same Queen Anne style. Bandstands were popular at the turn of the century and mostly located in parks. Time and weather have taken all but a few. The Hayward Banstand in Alexandra Park, Vancouver, is still in use.
