Uptown Grill
Apparently this place has changed owners over the last few months. We were in yesterday for lunch and there was no air conditioning. The food was absolutely excellent and the servers were amazing but it was so hot that we could hardly eat. We mentioned this and were told that the new owners really didn't think AC was that important. It was lunchtime and I guess we were the only ones who didn't know prior to coming because the place was deserted with only 2 other tables of miserable sweating patrons besides ourselves, so I would assume AC is in fact important. We won't be back till winter!

This restaurant is a great spot to enjoy some classic Breakfast items . Uptown Grill is a Family Friendly stop with a basic diner atmosphere, highchairs available and accessible washroom with a changetable. The location is directly across from Guelph's beautiful Riverside park where your kids can burn off a hearty breakfast.The eggs benny is a personal favorite along with a chocolate chip pancake for some childhood nostalgia.With a regularly topped up coffee, friendly staff and quick food service Uptown Grill is a must-try and will likely be your breakfast place too!

Came in for a late breakfast on Saturday to try this place. Its a fairly small restaurant tucked a bit off the road so I almost drove by it, but it has some parking in the front and lots of spots behind the restaurant. its nothing fancy but a good comfortable place for breakfast. The staff was very nice and attentive. the food was very good. Too bad they don't have a 2 egg special like most places do but the food was very good.. their version of home fries, which are not so thinly sliced potatoes cooked and seasoned perfectly, were a pleasant surprise and something i have not had before. Ive tried thinner almost chip type fries, but their version is delicious. Also they dont have rye bread as an option, but they do have sourdough option which is the way to go. the 2 pancake breakfast is also very good.. not the best.. a bit doughy and thick and huge.. really huge portions.. but very good. Staff was very friendly and the food come out quickly. Great place, and highly recommend for a weekend breakfast out with family.

the service was great. The girls were very active and take care of you. The coffee was weak. They kept offering it. I didnt want more because it was weak. The food was delivered quickly. The Chicken club sandwich was disappointing. There was more bread than anything else. Tomato was the only topping. The chicken breast was extremely thin. The side i selected was veggies with dip. 2 slices of carrot. 2 slices of celery. Not overly impressed sadly. The venue has potential but the food was my main let down. Advice to the owner: Try Dennys california club and emulate. Thx.

One of my favorite go-to for breakfast! The menu offers a lot of healthy and not so healthy options; but I’ve never had a bad meal here.In talking with our waitress, you could tell she loves her job and this restaurant. She was having fun and engaging conversations with every one of her customers which was awesome to hear.We had the Classic Breakfast and the Uptown sandwich. Both were very tasty and made exactly as we had requested!I had the Uptown sandwich on an English Muffin, our waitress suggested having it with two eggs instead of three as it would fit better on the smaller bread. She was right!The coffee is always as good as the service and the food here!

My all time favourite breakfast joint at Guelph! The food was always served in a great portion and the quality has been consistent throughout the time. The staffs are friendly as well. I highly recommend anyone who enjoy breakfast to come here and try out their breakfast burger and omelettes!!!

Easily one of the best breakfasts Ive ever had from a diner. Affordable, delicious and instead of potatoes I could get veggies and that's a huge win
